First let me say that I'm not a 'hater'. I don't hate any boxer and I always view fights objectively. I can't for the life of me understand why Miranda is so highly rated though. Sure, a record of 30-2 is nothing to be sniffed at, but having watched 5 of his fights, he looks far from the 'beast' people speak of.
His best victories are against Howard Eastman and Allan Green, both respectable, but whenever he's faced top talent (Abraham and Pavlik) he has looked several classes below. A combination of the worst defence I've ever seen on a top level boxer, wildly inaccurate punches and disgusting tactics. All he seems to have is power and a decent chin.
I don't understand why he is so rated around these parts. I've read posts saying he'll beat Kessler or Abraham in their rematch. Why people have come to that conclusion I have no idea. Christ, I'd even give Carl Froch the edge.
Anyone have any ideas why?
Abraham was outboxing Miranda with ease until the broken jaw happened, and he was still winning rounds afterwards. Miranda was just walking forward, hitting Abraham's gloves and occasionally the body. Whenever Abraham chose to counter or attack, he hit Miranda cleanly with powerful shot combinations.
I can see Abraham getting the decision over Miranda provided he doesn't let the big guy unload with a clean right.
I have the evidence. I have 'clean' HD video of the fight with no comentators. You here every word from Neuman and from ringside. It will be played Saturday night on Showtime. Watch and learn.
I also was there ringside during the fight and saw with my own two eyes everything that happened. But that is my own knowledge that you will never get to see or understand cause it is not the 'proof' you need. Sure, you read interviews and press releases and you call that proof..... unreal.
This Saturday night on Showtime II at 10pm there will be the first replay of this fight for America to see (not the youtube crap). Watch it for yourself. It was a disgrace what happened during that stoppage.
No doubt Abraham quit and then was 'forced' to change his mind. That shit doesnt happen in America. Either you can fight or you cant. You dont have your options layed out and able to change your mind.
Sure, the fight didnt stop and Abraham fought like a warrior and hung in there (with the refs help) for 7 more rounds. But in no way does that mean he deserved to win the fight.
Wait. So why did they force AA to fight on? Wait, they didn't force AA to fight on, um lol, why DID AA fight on? Wait, why didn't the ref stop the fight when AA said no? You understand German? Did you catch any AA interviews or only Miranda's? Miranda can't rap, i want justice lol
AA got lucky in that fight, get over it. he most likely would have gotten the L if he continued here in the states, but we all know he quit, than renigged on it.

There is no doubt the doctor told Neuman to stop the fight. There is no doubt Neuman asks Abraham "We're gonna fight, do you wanna fight" and Abraham shakes his head side to side and says "no!" It also clear that as soon as this happens you can hear Wilfred Saulernad scream "YES" in the background and then have a discussion with Abraham.
The docter CLEARY tells Neuman to stop the fight and Neuman even CLEARY says "So that's the fight, right?". Neuman CLEARLY asks Abraham if he wants to fight and Abraham CLEARY says NO and shakes his head from side to side.
No son, Abraham never said no, he looked to his corner, and his corner told him what he needed to know. If you let the ref stop the fight, you lose your title, and it won't go to the cards. That is the truth. So he fought on. A fighter doesn't shake his head no when a ref ask's if you want to fight, and lets the fighter fight on. Doesn't make sense.
Could someone please post the part during the stoppage when the ref asks Abraham if he can continue and Abraham shakes his head and says no. This boo guy is arguing to the wrong person about the fine details of this fight!!! :boxing:

Everyone can say what they want about the first fight. Home field advantage for AA or Miranda was dirty and couldn't finish.. We'll all know who's got the bigger balls after the rematch. Up until that it's just the same 2 arguments being repeated and repeated.
This is a lie. Abraham did NOT want the fight stopped. His corner told him that if they stop the fight, he loses his title. You have been right so far, until this blatant lie. Why did they even let the fight go on?????...They asked Abraham also if he could continue too. Is Abraham lying in his interview also.
Before you make an ass of yourself, watch the fight.
The good thing about all that is, the score will be settled very soon and we won't have to hear about this anymore.
100% true. This is one fight that had to happen to settle the score.
Randy Neuwman made a critical mistake by interrupting their fight. He wanted to stop a fight where the fighter didn't want to stop fighting. If he did, he wouldn't have kept on fighting. I'm not concerned with Sauerlands history. If you have no proof of anything he did in the miranda-AA fight, why even uttter it???
When a doctor and the fighter both want to stop the fight then it is the job of the ref to stop the fight. I have never before seen a promoter in the stands demand to the ref that the fight must continue. And that fact that Neuman listened to him is downright shameful.
The docter CLEARY tells Neuman to stop the fight and Neuman even CLEARY says "So that's the fight, right?". Neuman CLEARLY asks Abraham if he wants to fight and Abraham CLEARY says NO and shakes his head from side to side.
If you dont have a problem with this PROOF then you are worthless here on these boards. Even the biggest Abraham fans (Vanes, Googler) all say the fight should have been stopped in the 5th.
Most people (who don't know better) overrate a guy who can really bang, no matter what weight class, and Miranda can bang. It's pretty much that simple.
Who else at this level fought 4 times in less than 8 months against competition that held an amazing combined record of 94-1 with an 82% KO ratio?
Abraham
Gibbs
Green
Pavlik
OK, so he lost legitimately to one of these guys. And Pavlik happens to be the hottest talk in boxing right now, even people thinking he should be P4P top 3. The Abraham loss was controversal no question about it. If it wasnt, then why all the talk about it????
So, Miranda, has lost one controversal to the undefeated, 7 time defending world champion Arthur Abraham and one to the almighty Kelly Pavlik. Big deal!
And if he wins June 21st???? Then what are you doubters gonna say? He would have cleaned up his one questionable loss and only have a blemish on his record againt the guy many people think is a living legend. And Miranda wants nothing more then to revenge that loss too.
Miranda isn't the most skilled fighter, and he may not be at that elite level. But he's a very exciting fighter to watch, and has a great story. It's very easy to be a fan of Miranda. Not to mention he destroys people.
Because he looks good knocking bums out. When he gets in with a world class opponent, he falters.
I will be sure to remind of this when Abraham is laid out flat. Would that make him a bum or Miranda destroying a world class opponent?
It's interesting how Miranda got points taken off because even though in Germany, the ref was Randy Numan, an American ref who was actually a good ref in Marquez vs Vasquez 3.
Randy Neuman has been banned by the WBO and has not gotten too much action since this disgrace. It has no bearing that he is American. Sauerland has his ways to influence the ref and judges. Why do you think Neuman has been doing to many of his fights?
