Just thought i'd let you know caus it's gonna be Calzaghe's first Big interview in the UK.
What happened to this? Calzaghe has disappeared from all the listings, apparently James McAvoy, Dame Eileen Atkins, and Jo Brand are on. Which is quite frankly a load of shit. Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman have disappeared aswell.
Who is that gorgous thing on your avatar ? Hatton gets more publicity because he is a fan favorite and the average "Joe" can relate to him easily. Calzaghe may be considered better , post Mayweather-Hatton, but that does not mean he is as personable. That message was not meant directly for you, just an overall observation for the board.
The gorgous thing in his avatar is the wonderfull Sophie Howard
Calzaghe was on some cheesey uk show with his wife not long before the Hopkins fight. About couples guessing the answer they're partners gave. Calzaghe's personality didn't quite shine unfortunately, other times in interviews and with the press he's pretty cool, funny but this wasn't one of them. I hope he's at least a little more lively on the Jonathan Ross show. He's got it in him, the banter and such more so when he's hyped for a fight, but doesn't show it often enough.
I actually interviewed Calzaghe when he came to the US to promote his bout against Manfredo. He is very witty - quite subtle. I think if you look over many of his interviews, he's often extremely candid.
One thing that he told me that I 100% agree with is that he beat better fighters than Lacy BEFORE Lacy - specifically, Omar Sheika & Charles Brewer. Just goes to show how what fighters think is so much different from what the media thinks.
