When Pavlik hurts fighters and knocks them out, they completely crumble. They completely disappear. Look at the fashion in which Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor were knocked out. They were destructed. When Taylor had Pavlik hurt it was one way, but when Pavlik got Taylor he completely crumbled. He must have some heavy fucking hands which is why he destroys people.
Not the biggest puncher in the world, but one hell of a finisher. Not to say he cant stop a guy with one punch, but it seems like he breaks them down over a fight before putting them away.
The same way you feel about Pavlik, is the way that i feel about Margs. He is too heavy handed for Cotto late in the fight. I have been saying the C vs M is gonna be like Pav vs JT 1. Margs might get hurt or buzzed early but late in the fight Cotto goes down like JT.
Pavlik Cotto and Margarito all have the same sort of power if u ask me, heavy handed hurtfull punchers from which every punch is felt but not explosive 1 shot KO guys

i think zertuche is the best example of that...
i think it was either a left hook or an uppercut that started it...soon as it landed i remember zertuche was COMPLETELY out on his feet.
Pavlik will be dangerous to anyone even if he's lost 10 out of 11 rounds going into the 12th...he can still land that one big shot and end the fight thats why you cant sleep on him because he will DEFINATELY make you pay.
No lies, if i was a fighter (currently) i couldnt think of someone i'd be more afraid of...he has an amazing amount of power.

Nah, the ONLY reason Pavlik is able to utilize his style is because he's very tall for his weight and has a very long reach. Without that, he doesn't beat Taylor, Zertuche, anybody.
Pavlik's punches are hard and heavy. They have the same effect as Cotto's. They are digging shots that accumulate over time. He is not a one punch KO artist, but like Cotto, he beats guys up.
He is actually the type of guy who can stop the guys that KO artists cannot as he physically wears guys down till they simply collapse.
His Opponents generally end up very banged up after his fights, just like Cotto's. Duran punched like that also. It is hard to generalize that type of puncher as they are kinda rare. It is almost like their punches bring physical pain when they land as they have a lot of Push to them as they follow through.
I'll just put it like this. Pavlik K.O.'s the same way that alot of people do...
Check it.....
You ready?
He knocks them out. No different from any body else. A knockout, is a knock out. Really. Nothing more, nothing less.

interesting comparison..... but Cotto has proven himself against his opposition, Taylor never could clear that hurdle
He just breaks guys down. By the time he hurts them with one punch, there legs are gone. Every punch after that is like a Tyson uppercut. not to mention, Pavlik is clynical when his man is in trouble, and almost never lets his man survive once they are hurt
I think it was McKart who said that even though Pavlik isn't really a one shot KO artist, that he had really heavy hands and every punch hurts and builds up.
In the cases with Taylor, Miranda, and Zertuche, he was catching them with good shots all night. Eventually the accumulative damage was just too much.
i remember the mckart fight, pavlik just destoryed him one shot at a time.
mckart is a tough SOB and had never been stopped. and pavlik broke him.
pretty sure i remember a vicious left hook to the body that left McKart on his knees crawling awkwardly forward

Pavlik is my 2nd favourite fighter next to Wlad, he's a fucking beast, one of the hardest p4p punchers in boxing and a great finisher....I loved watching Pavlik brutally KO Taylor and Miranda.
