Fights like a 40 year old? He comes at the opponent for 12 rounds, he just hasn't had a lesson on defence since his amatuer days I think. Kostya was the favourite in the fight and hatton has beaten some credible opposition. He just needs to stick to 140. Credible? Who? Kostya was idle for over 2 years! i'm British and i feel the same way to a large extent (not hating, i do also support him when he fights)

Pre-Tsyzu, hatton was a very exciting fighter, albeit against lesser opposition, and he was and remains the man at 140, with some good wins there. He did enough to get a shot at Mayweather, which no youngish fighter has done in a while, even if his fanbase helped his cause a lot! I don't know how he was promoted in the States but I don't remember anyone saying he was the best fighter ever to lace up gloves, just a very good one who was and is ruling the 140 division. You can criticise his style, but you can't say he doesn't get results. Perhaps he isn't quite the fighter some thought he was, but at the same time, at his best he could really be excellent.
