But what would his route back be in your eyes? The question is flawed because you seem to believe that Floyd gives a fuck about "welterweight supremacy" at this stage in his career. He doesn't. After a decade+ of work in the ring, he's only interested in getting back in it for the maximum paydays. Dominating welterweight was never his objective when he got there. Welterweight was a stepping stone to Oscar, and winning the most prestigous version of the world title at light-middleweight against a guy with the strength and size advantages Oscar has over Floyd at that weight is more of an achievement than anything Cotto will ever do. Cotto's next move, in likelihood, is to get Knocked The Fuck Out by Margarito.
