LMFAO. still have nothing but hate, and garbage insight. What has Lazcano done in his career lately? He got his name by getting his as$ handed to him by Jose Luis Castillo. He fought a hard fought win against a faded Ben Tackie, so did Alfonso Gomez and Henry Bruseles. He then went on to what was supposed to be an easy win against Garnica in his hometown. He ended up clearly losing and getting a hometown decision, then was booed by his hometown. Then he went on to lose to Vivian Harris in a fight where it was the most sluggish and slow Vivian Harris i ever seen. Those are not very good accomplishments as of late. Not that he ever really accomplished anything great anyway. Compare his recent fights with Gomez and I think Gomez is more impressive. Honestly, i think Alfonso Gomez beats Juan Lazcano if they were to fight. I dont see how Lazcano could win.

EDIT: in reply to Dios and the Ricky's best weight' post You might have a point, particularly in the last few years. The alarm bells threatening to ring on Ricky's stamina at 140. Against Tszyu he had monstrous stamina, against Maussa he came on strong after a sloppy start. For the Urango fight he took his foot off the pedal in the 2nd half of the fight and against castillo his trainer was yelling at him to pace himself before the KO. It maybe just a bit of conservatism on my part, but Barry Mcguigan has said similar things about the ups and downs in weight having their effect. We might see tonight...

Hatton looks visually as if he is drained, IMO. What he does is not healthy and it will be only a matter of time before it takes a toll on his body. Hatton is ridiculous with that.

You can also look ripped by being severely underweight. hence heavyweights don't always look ripped. I'm not saying that Hatton is drained he just looks a bit skinny for my liking. His condition vs Castillo impressed me, he was a bit like a martial artist in that fight and made Castillo look a lot worse than he actually was.

When did the number of fans become the measuring stick for boxing accomplishment? nothing to do with acomplishment its the fact he has put himself under so much pressure even though he has just come of a loss. If he gets beat tonight thats it and not only would he have been beaten but in front of all them fans on his own turf. Now thats pressure on his shoulders and regardless of what anyone says lazcano is deffo no bum

Cotto will never ever be in mega mega fights where not only is the arena filled but they have to put up screens for thousands of fans who came to watch the fight without tickets. Hatton is surely allowed to fight Lazcano who is no bum and Gomez would not beat him at 140. How many people do you know lose their unbeaten record and then fight in front of 56000 people in their next fight. Theres not another fighter in the world who would do that anyone who says lazcano is a bum or in the legue of a gomez type guy knows nothing about this sport, and is not even worth wasting any time on! cheers.

It was just a tune up for a real super fight vs Margarito. Hatton-Lazcano is a joke of a fight, and when/if Hatton wins he wont recievce 1/8th the hate Cotto got for beating Gomez. Then he will move on to a joke of a superfight vs Maliganggi. Cotto vs Gomez and Margarito vs Cintron set up a great super fight. Hatton vs Lazcano and Maligangg vs Ndou is two jokes of a fight leading to another wanabee superfight. by the way, Gomez beats Lazcano any day of the week. Lazcano was KOd by Golden Johnson for christ sake.
