I see a lot of talk about what fighters have to do to earn their shot at other fighters so I'm curious which fighter in the top 10 did just that to earn their spot?
This I know. But I'm not including somebody that isn't top 10 in the division.
At the time that Joe Calzaghe moved up to LHW, who was left for him to beat at SMW? No-one.
If I ever have to go through this again, I think my brain will literally explode. Dude's got 45 fights at SMW between 1993 and 2008, his career didn't begin the day he beat Lacy.

Calzaghe beat Kessler and Lacy, that's it.

Well, lets ask a more important question, what constitutes cleaning out the division? Is it beating 4 or more of the top 10 fighters in your respective division? Is it just beating a lot of divisional fighters?
Joe Calzaghe cleaned out super middleweight, There is no one today in that division that can beat him.
David Haye basically cleaned out the division and unified the titles.
i can see Wlad klitschko unifying the heavyweight division in a year or two.
Well, I mean Calzaghe basically wiped 168 clean, and David Haye rose pretty quick through Cruiserweight, knocking out Mormeck and Maccarinelli in a row despite his problems at the weight.

Just what I was going to say.
