cortez was pissed off the anthem got booed for 1. the ref didnt let hatton fight how he wanted to. lets face it he doesnt have the reach to beat floyd on the outside so the only way he coulda won is inside. wen cortez wasnt havin it there was only goin t b one winner. im not sayin he would have one if cortez wasnt the ref but it was a factor to him losing

Hatton wasn't as frustrated by Cortez as he was for the fact that he didn't have a game plan to beat Floyd.

Weebler was just baiting, people shouldn't fall into his trap. I'm a big Hattonite - but the better man won on the day. Still was dissapointed, but i'm still a fan - I like the way the guy boxes, his style, character and he's British. I didn't support him because he was undefeated. It made no difference at teh end of the fight to me- i still thought he was a great fighter. I was discussing it with my mate down my boxing club last night. Mayweather should have been DQed that fight. I still think he could KO Hatton regardless of the ref, however, but probably would not take the chance to do so. The guy hasnt taken a risk in the ring, whether in the form of fighting real competition or exposing himself to do real damage, since he was knocked down by Judah. i watched Floyd fight against Bruseles the other day and man the elbows he got away with :nonono: Hatton's trouble is he aint subtle enough when bending the rules lol

I've been saying this for ages. Cortez made Hatton frustrated and by docking points off him (for something which Bernard Hopkins is allowed to do freely for some reason) he made Hatton become very off-task and he began to "charge" in desperately trying to make-up the ground he'd lost. Hatton would have lost - but he would have lasted the other two rounds. I have no doubt of this. Cortez :nonono: yeah u probably did'nt get a positive response because people like Weebler were saying it is the sole reason why he lost

Hatton's tactics weren't working. Hatton did more wrestling than punching... he smothered his own offense. If Hatton didn't go for broke he'd still have lost by wide UD IMHO. yeah i agree but he would have kept his pride in tact it was a bit humiliating for him to be stopped

Had Hatton been allowed to fight his fight he definitely wouldn't have become frustrated the way he did and then just chase Floyd blindlu around. It's still no excuse though, it's Hatton's job to stick to a decent gameplan come what may.
