Out of these 3 fighters, who could give him more trouble and give him a harder fight, remember this doesn't mean they will beat him or anything...

Definatly not Pavlik , the guy is a good fighter but he will not seriously trouble Calzaghe, styles! I would say Jones if he performs.
Good point. Pavlik is much more in his prime than the other two, but his style is predictable and I can't see him getting over on Joe at this point. Jones and Tarver are over the hill, but their styles could be troublesome if they have a big fight left in him.
Not sure why Pavlik is leading this right now. The guy is one of the most obvious and basic elite fighters I've ever seen. No way does Calzaghe get caught by this guy unless he gases out like Taylor.
action blackson what the hell is that in your avatar and why the hell have you got someone slitting someone else's throat?!?!?

RJJ - this is hard one it depends on what you think about RJJ. i donttink hes shot but i dont think hes got enough to deal with a pressure fighter who wont stop coming at you like calzaghe. i can see joe winning the last few rounds on workrate alone, i do think RJJ's counter punching skills and speed will give him the edge in that department but joe has so many other facets to his game.
pavlik - is just an over rated version of kessler, yes he does have a better workrate and reach but his power isn't quite on par with kessler. plus he has very little defenseand imo calzaghe would easily beat him.
tarver - would take away joes southpaw advantage but joe has still got so many different facets to his game imo joe would win on speed and workrate.

i feel pavlik would be the toughest fight for joe, Pavlik is in his prime, has great power, high workrate and great chin and a monster right hand which is the best punch to land on Calzaghe.
Glen can f*ck guys up and make them dance with one punch. Calzaghe cannot. KO percentages don't mean anything, especially when you consider that Glen has fought a higher caliber of competition for much longer than Joe has.
I have a feeling Glenn Johnson would whoop Joe's ass, Johnson is a real pressure fighter with power and a very good straight right.
Based on? Their KO percentages are almost identical. Neither of them are regarded as being hard hitting. They are both volume punchers.

Well for starters, Glen has much more snap to his punches than Joe.

RJJ is WAY past his prime, should have retired a few years ago. So I would not give him a chance. Prime RJJ though would walk through Calzaghe.
Pavlik, I dont think he could deal with the pressure honestly.
Tarver I think could win by UD.
Glen Johnson and Joe Calzaghe are very similar fighters. They both apply a ton of pressure and force the fight. I see no reason why the outcome of a Joe/Roy fight would be any different than what happened with Roy and Glen.

Look man, I'm not one of these idiot black and white posters OK? I do pick prime Calzaghe to beat prime Roy, but I'd be a loon if I thought such a thing was certain wouldn't I?
Likewise, Calzaghe isn't prime anymore and no-one really knows what Roy does or doesn't have left. I think he's shot but I don't know for sure, and if he isn't the chance to beat Calzaghe is there.
Just so you know, I consider Roy to be the most naturally talented fighter during my adult life. He was amazing. Just that he has proven a little susceptible to KO and after Jones, Calzaghe is the next most talented SMW of the era. It's just I don't see Calzaghe as having any glaring weakness so I think he might very well KO Roy. It's not unreasonable is it?
no, everyones entitled to their opinion... it just seemed a little backwards to think joe could beat roy in his prime... but this roy might have a chance at beating him... if anything it would seem more normal to say in their primes roy would handle joe, but not this roy.... but i guess everyone sees shit differently.. i certainly dont have a problem with it, was just curious.
