Who Should Calzaghe fight next?

Anyone who knows boxing knows Kessler is a great fighter and that will be proved further over time.

Calzaghe will get flak whoever he fights, if pavlik people will say he was only a green MW and if Jones people will say he was over the hill, both statements are true ,however Calzaghe can only fight who is there. Big respect to Pavlik if he takes this fight because i dont think pavlik needs this fight at this stage of his career, I like him and think he is very good but Calzaghe will win without much trouble, Kessler having been a much tougher fight for Calzaghe. His style is made for Calzaghe and he will look very one paced against Cal. Jones is much tougher to predict how it would go, I would still say Cal but in a much tougher fight due to styles. I hope Calzaghe fights Pavlik then Jones for his last fight in Wales. If he were to win both those I think even the Calzaghe haters would have to give credit and respect.

Personally I want him to fight RJJ, it'd be such a legendary fight man. Two renowned quick fighters, good reflexes, major boxing talent and entertainers. Blockbuster. I think both being known for strengths in the same area's, they're both near the same age, it would show whom is more effective. For Joes status I think in some respects, especially in the US, he'd get more recognition for beating a prime Pavlik. It would leave the old excuses gone, and force people to accept he really is an all time great, and could beat anyone at SMW or LHW. I and many know that he can already, and wouldn't mind if he beat RJJ instead.

Roy Jones Jr for sure. I can't see Pavlik beating Joe at all. I CAN see how Roy can beat him though, that makes the bout interesting. Rumour was RJJ - Kessler, obviously after Kessler`s next fight.Team Palle said he are in Negotiations with Team Jones

Although my mind changes on this constantly, as a fan i want him to fight Pavlik next. Calzaghe looked poor against Hopkins, probably the best spoiler there is, but if he is still even close to the fighter who beat Kessler then he will whoop Pavlik and I think that would be best for his legacy, since Pavlik is a very well respected champ. If he faces Jones, I think Joe will whoop him too, but Jones is old, so people will make excuses and say Jones was too old, which compared with his prime, he is.

Definitly Pavlik. That would be the more important match. If Joe were to beat Roy, it wouldn't be a surprise becasue Jones is past his prime, and Joe, maybe, be nearing the end of his own prime, but the fight really wouldn't mean anything. Now a fight against Pavlik would actually be worth it because their both top fighters and it would show really is the better fight. There really wouldn't be any point putting a rank A fighter against a washed up fighter, Jones. Ya feel me??

why would anyone rather watch calzaghe fight jones instead of pavlik? jones is so over the hill the fight wouldn't even mean anything. Pavlik is in his prime and the fight would mean so much more.

Putting the Ghost again Joe C would be a great fight, I would put my money on Pavlik. He won my support after proving me wrong against Miranda and Taylor twice. Against Roy Jones, it would be an interesting fight but wouldn't do much for Joe C's legacy. I would love to see him fight Pavlik.

Pavlik. 2 action fighters, 2 champs, 2 0's on each record, one guy in his prime and the other in what possibly might be his last fight...this is a no-brainer to me.
