Name some of the biggest screwjobs in boxing history...
The biggest robbery in my opinion is when Balboa was robbed against the overrated Dixon. I had him up by 3 points on my scorecard.
Jeff Lacy vs Joe Calzaghe. Everyone knows Jeff really won that fight. Damn English judging!!!
HILARIOUS!!!
I say ODLH - Mosley II
STURM - ODLH
Joe - Jersey Joe
Cruz - Casamayor
RJJ vs. Park Si Hun in the 88 Olympics...
Only happened because the Americans screwed the Koreans in the previous Olympics in Los Angeles with Jerry Page's ridiculous decision over Kim Dong-Kil (who was the gold medal favourite going in for that division) being the worst of the bunch.
that's why i dont got any respect for him. he got hsi payday and ran like a bitch.
this is the place to which he quickly retired after the fight

Classic Dixon. I had a feeling Balboa knew he was the winner when he referred to him as Tarver. But then he was robbed...
It's no secret that Dixon retired shortly after this fight. All sanctioning bodies were going to put Rocky in their top 15; the public was clamoring for a re-match, this time for the undisputed HW title. Dixon ducked him faster then the speed of lightning on that one.
And perhaps the biggest robbery call is in Kadyo's statement. that's why i dont got any respect for him. he got hsi payday and ran like a bitch.

Tye Fields' first round KO against some bum fighter. He did it intentionally to make the record of first round Kayos trilogy. I'm serious, it was a self robbery...
2501 is the only one blessed enough to have footage of this fight. Apparently Tye tried to pick up a rare coin that was laying on the canvas and the referee panicked and called for a ten count. I gotta see if he's willing to upload the footage though. It might just knockout his power, unleashing that sacred clip.
Tye Fields' first round KO against some bum fighter. He did it intentionally to make the record of first round Kayos trilogy. I'm serious, it was a self robbery... he was poisoned for that fight. there was a really strong substance in his water, so strong in fact that any lesser man would have died. but tye hung in there but he just couldnt go on. whatever it was in that bottle i dont even wanna go near it.
it was a classic fight between a boxer and a legendary brawler. rock obviously had rust in the beginning, but he shook it off as the fight progressed and went back to his old Phily ways....bashing the fucker's brain out. because of the knockdowns (one i though was a slip) i had balboa up by 2 points. i tell ya dixon was lucky the fight wasnt 12 rounds, that's where the experience would have really shown, balboa is an old school 15 round fighter. dixon is a front runner. had there been one more round i reckon rocky would have knocked that overated bum out
and i hate when people use the excuse that balboa got lucky because dixon hurt his hand. that's baloney with dijon mustard. rocky was 60 years old and he still schooled that ass!!!

Apollo proceeds to lose his undefeated record in the re-match... what a joke of a champion.
On a side note boxing_prospect, how did you score the Dixon-Balboa fight? I know I ain't the only one who had Balboa ahead clearly by 3 points. it was a classic fight between a boxer and a legendary brawler. rock obviously had rust in the beginning, but he shook it off as the fight progressed and went back to his old Phily ways....bashing the fucker's brain out. because of the knockdowns (one i though was a slip) i had balboa up by 2 points. i tell ya dixon was lucky the fight wasnt 12 rounds, that's where the experience would have really shown, balboa is an old school 15 round fighter. dixon is a front runner. had there been one more round i reckon rocky would have knocked that overated bum out

great point!!!!! Joe even told rocky to take it easy on creed. Joe was out there fucking promoting their fight. they took balboa for a freakin tune up

I think the judges just gave it to Creed so they can get a super fight with Joe Frazier. Too bad that didn't work...

Frazier was done by 1976.
Creed would've given him the sparring partner treatment like he did to that sparring partner in part 2.
Well if that's the case then Creed should've fought him anyway to use him as a tune-up for Balboa. Therefore, he would've won the wide UD instead of going for the KO in the 15th round.
That "count" was longer than "The Long Count" and the Douglas-Tyson count. hell it was longer than tunney dempsey. i agree with thread stealer, steele would have stopped it way faster. the only reason balboa didnt get it, is because creed had the fucking judges in his pocket.
i also had balboa as the winner in the exhibition match. i think dixon was totally overated, and he got exposed by rocky who in his prime would have gotten him outta there in matter of minutes.
