What would you rather do?
True, no one is a coward if they step in the ring. But, it's more for dramatic effect and lack of a better term.
Would you rather win like a coward, or lose like a man?
To make it an even tougher question, imagine that this is gonna be (whether you know it or not) the biggest fight of your entire career.

I'd rather die like a man than live like a coward - Tupac
LMFAO...if you got anything from White Men Can't Jump...other then they fact that white men cant jump...then you are truly an idiot...
No, even the title was false. Rex Chapman, among others, proved that movie wrong.
What I got from that movie is that Woody Harrelson is a bad actor.
That is the duimbest philosophical BULLSHIT... I ever heard in my LIFE!
LOL.
That's not being "philosophical", it's not that deep.
But winning IS more important than looking good or being exciting, IMO.
Luis Resto won like a coward against Billy Collins.
But other than situations like that, I'd rather win like a "coward", or being defensive and stinking out the joint, then being exciting but losing.
Like when they're arguing in White Men Can't Jump.
I say winning is first, looking good is second.

He WAS losing. But he also got hit in the dick by an idiot who kept going low. Yeah, such a coward.
Can't believe you guys actually take me seriously on this :nonono:
No, I'm drinking paint. Awesome stuff.
Bowe is a bitch. He was not tough, he was just afraid to lose face.

....fake? Are you smoking something?
Also, you can't doubt Bowe's heart as he showed he had an ample supply in plenty of his fights.

I'd rather lose giving it my all than win by way of faking to be hit by low blows (like Bowe against Golota).

On certain occasions losing like a man will take you further than winning like a coward.
I wouldn't be surprised if Arturo Gatti made the HOF before Sven Ottke and I'm quite sure that Gatti has made more money than the money-troubled Sven Ottke.
Fritzie Zivic lost 60 times, doesn't matter, he is still in the hall of fame.
LaMar Clark is not.
Some people are just mad that their athletic dreams of being a professional Basketball/football/boxing etc, didn't come true and they can't stand elitists.
So they tend to favor the averge pug who gets his face smashed in every time he gets in that ring.
That's pretty much as I see it. People have some vision in their mind about being a great warrior in the ring and how they'd much rather have the respect by getting your ass kicked as if winning grants you no respect.
Winning > Losing
It's not your fault if your opponent sucks to much to beat you in the ring. As a spectator, I know I'd rather see the warriors usually... but if I were in the ring? Fuck that. I'll take the W.
It makes me laugh that the 'fight like a man' category is winning. People like short, meaningless careers I guess.
