I know Hatton wants a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, but could Ricky handle someone like Zab at 147??? Zab gave Floyd Mayweather hell in the first few rounds, and busted up Cotto with 5 to 6 months inactivity. Could he stop (kO,TKO) Hatton??
Zab Judah fights very well in the 1st half of fights as we all know, and has the power to knock people out. Zab has the abilities to beat Hatton, fast hands, power, and he's a southpaw. His brain/fading is the only question to answer?? I think Zab could beat hatton and even KO him like Mayweather did. If Zab could stay focus the whole fight he could really fuck Hatton up.
Collazo and Floyd didn't qo so well at 147. I think Hatton should prove himself at 147 again before challenging the top dog once more!
It's a fight I've thought about a lot.
I think ultimately Zab doesn't fight hard enough to keep Ricky off of him. Hatton is like Baldomir, only better; faster, a stronger body puncher, a better boxer-puncher. He fights three minutes of every round; Zab fights one, one minute twenty or something. He's lazy. He's never had a great workrate. I think Judah could well win it, but it would rely on different factors like Hatton walking into some big lefties, Judah being in his absolute best condition and moving around a lot...
I think Hatton would outpoint him, bust him up in the last four. Judahs not a big 147 lb'er. Hatton isn't his best at 147, so Judah could have an advantage there but if Hatton gets on his chest, like he always does, and doesn't give him a minutes rest like Cotto, Zab can only lose.
I rate Ricky massively......................at 140. I think he has to come to terms with the fact he is not a natural 147 pounder; he could compete, but the his power is blunted against the bigger guys,
Given his height , if he didn't have a junk food habit, do you think he could sweatdown to 135 without loosing any power??? He'd be pretty awesome then, but you'd have to be a brave bastard to volunteer as his dietician!!!

if Hatton can get past the first 5 rounds he can beat Judah at 147.
It was a right hook with Magee. He got caught late with Collazo after uncharacteristically fading.
I think Hatton could beat Judah who has a reputation as a puncher largely due to his fights at 140 lbs, but who hasn't really proven himself as such at 147 lbs. Judah fades and badly against anyone who is still active after 4 rounds, Hatton would still be active and would start to land more frequently from the fourth round on before bullying him into submission by the 11th.
i agree
also no disrespect to Hatton but he could smoother his way to 4 round if he wanted to & Judah would be ready for knocking out then anyway ,Judah's uppercut did'nt hurt Cotto i think u are overating the power he delievers it with ,Cotto is hardly Pernell Whitaker defensively either is he he eat that uppercut off Judah & he got hit with lots of clubbing right hands from Mosley ,he was on the deck against Torres who aint exactly the best boxer Torres may be a good puncher but he aint a good Boxer & he managed to find Cotto easily enough aswell
Hatton isn't a defensive wiz and will eventually get caught with Judah's left uppercut which is what Magee and Collazo caught him with. Magee dropped him and Collazo had him on queer street. All 3 are southpaws too.

HELL MOTHA FUCKIN' NO!
Hatton at 147 could not even beat his own meat.
dude Hatton made the Floyd & Collazo fight tough for both fighters ,u cant tell me Floyd enjoyed Hatton trying to manhandle him etc ,and with Judah's mental block u can bet your life he would breakdown under that kind of those robust tactics ,allthough Floyd beat Hatton he new he had been in a fight as did Collazo they both hurt Hatton late in the fight Judah likes to stop punching after 5 he would 'nt see the lattter part of the fight
u are talking about a guy that lost to Carlos Baldmoir a journeyman
i agree to an extent but i think Hatton would still beat Judah cause as bad as Hatton struggled against Collazo he made it one helluva tough fight for Collazo ,Judah is a front runner he is good for 5 rounds then he starts looking for a way out when he is under preassure
IMO Hatton would only need to get through the 1st 4/5 rounds and then he would beat Judah up much like Cotto did ,TKO Hatton
lol we are in agreement for once.
I dont think Hatton can beat Judah, hatton struggles with Southpaws and they dont come better than Judah at 147. Hatton likes his opponent in range he really cant deal with skilled boxers that why he hasnt really fought alot of them.

What?
Judah was well paired against mayweather for say 4 or 6 rounds..
ANd PBF owned HAtton...not even in the same league.
Judah would realy show hatton up for what he is...a slowish banger.
It would be a BAD fight for HAtton...relegate him to the lower ranks of deluded english fans
Hatton CAN beat Judah. Everyone thought Hatton had a fair shot against Mayweather. The odds weren't that great. Judah for sure doesn't have the focus of Mayweather. Judah won't be able to deal with Hatton's onslaught as well as Mayweather did. Hatton's offense looks tame in the hindsight of seeing Mayweather handle it. I think Judah can just as likely fold like he always does.

Id start Hatton favourite yeah. I see it like the way i thought the Cotto fight would go - Hatton winning by pressure and volume working Zab over till he folds BUT as with Cotto the very real possibility of getting tagged and KO'd by 1 of those Thunder bolt left crosses!
To beat Judah you have to be able to either
1) avoid his shot (Spinks I- Mayweather for most part)
or
2) take his shot good enough to go deep (Baldomir)
or
3) have a bomb that can take im out early (Tzu)

Judah also has more power at WW than Mayweather or Collazo.
I'm not saying Hatton could'nt win if he smothers Judah and takes him deep just think its the lower probability. Judah landed clean on Spinks and Mayweather 2 fighters with much better defense than Hatton.
It's possible because Judah doesn't like a guy with Hatton's style.
Edit: Just wanted to add that Hatton doesn't like the kind of style Judah has as well, I think it will depend on who fades worse down the stretch.
He could. One thing you can't say about Hatton is that he is a fighter who normally fades. And if Hatton just kept coming at Judah, WHO HATES to be crowded, he could beat him. I doubt he does at 147 though, to be honest.
