Who are boxers that started the sports late from like 16 to 25 or even later, i know skelton stared late and i heard nate cambell stared when he was like 24,any others!
Marciano didn't pick up gloves until he was 24. He was trying to be a professional baseball player before that, a catcher I believe. But the war ended that dream and led to another. He picked up boxing while in the service, realized he could make some dough knockin' people's faces off so he went for it.
Norton learned to box as a US Marine.

I took it from this interview.
I'm not sure when Norton was a US Marine but I'd guess he was considered a late starter by then as well? Surely over 16 years of age.
EDIT: Checked it, Norton (born in 1943) was a marine from 1963 to 1967 so he had to be over 20 years old when he started boxing.
