Whenever I watch UFC on Tuesday nights, it's always taking place in a very small venue, a lot like a school gym, and the crowds are only a handful.
If this sport is suppose to be competing with boxing, why is there very few people watching it?and in such small venues??
The UFC was/is a total fad. It used to be really big and hyped but now its tapering off. No more weigh ins on ESPN and shit...what happened to all that?
exactly... who wants to watch a scrappy bar fight and 2 guys dry humping each other on the ground.
boxing is the purest form of combat. its an art. its the sweet science. its amazing to watch

Usually the people who use this statement usually are the ones who have no ground whatsoever.
Interesting.

the crowd is not small it's just far away.
Was it any diffrent from a boxing crowad????
erm yeah i'd say it was. The people there seemed a lot more educated with the MMA and there seemed less hooligans shouting pointless things like "punch him in the head", "just whack him" etc
i met some cool people who all understood different aspects of MMA which was good cus I only do thai boxing and know very little in terms of the ground game
When was this, ive never ever heard of a 50 thousand crowad for a ufc event in the uk. think you might be mixed up with boxing.
Scratch that...it was a 20,000 attendance for UFC 70 & 72.
They'll be there next month as well.
It's the Ultimate Fighter you're talking about. Team Forrest and Team Rampage both train fighters and fight them in a gym and the only people there are the cameramen and the rest of the team.

LOL...I think you're talking about the show The Ultimate Fighter.
Regular UFC attendance numbers are anywhere from 20-25,000 for PPVs. In the UK they had a 50,000 attendance mark.
When Pride was poppin over in Japan they had around 60-70,000 attendance in those huge stadiums.
