I think Zab is an extreamly underrated fighter, and for someone who came as close to beating Mayweather as he did I don't think the guy gets enough credit. He does have a tendency to fade in the later rounds but I think hes one of the most underrated fighters today, thoughts?
Judah is one of the most overrated fighters in the sport. If you isolate the quality fighters he has been in with, his record is terrible. The only big win is Spinks, and even that was after he lost to the guy. Bottom line, another overrated New York boxer.
yeah, thats probably another reason who people look past him, because of the Tszyu fight, and I dont blame them it was a pretty poor performance but I still think that if his mental abilities caught up with his physical abilites he really has the potentional to because an all time great.
i remember he looked to be beating tzsyu easily for the first round and a half till that big right hand!
i cant believe he still questions that stoppage!
yeah, it seems that he doesnt have the mental capacity to be as good a fighter has he could be and as we all know is pretty immature at times. I just think id like to see alot more of him because I think hes a great talet that is often times overlooked.
If contests were six rounds Zab would be one of the very best in the sport, period.
As it is they're twelve, and he needs to train for twelve and fight with a view to going twelve, instead of thinking he can roll people out. If he manages to do that he can get back on that top spot again. He has the ability, thats no question, and although his chin isn't the best its good enough to get him through if he can sharpen his defence and learn how to fight going backwards. His counter uppercut can be devastating, damn near took Cottos head off in round 1 when they fought (think it was Rd 1, could be wrong, it was early anyhow) and landed several times later. Two-weight world champion, can't knock it, but the mans got some mentality issues
mate, you can be part jewish in heritage, the same way i am.
oh and im right:
'Religion
Judah has been referred to in the press as "the best Jewish fighter of all time." Judah's father is an avowed Israelite, or Black Jew, and Judah's family has declared themselves Jewish.' - wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zab_Judah
i too have one jewish parent
is zab jewish?
i read something about him being part jewish
There's no such thing as "part jewish". Judaism is a religion. You either is, or you ain't. He ain't.
My opinion of Judah is that he's a stupid little undisciplined bitch. He has one of the best toolboxes in his division, but he's too much of a flake to get on top and stay on top. Mental immaturity is a rampant fucking problem in the sport.
First 4 or 5 rounds he is world class after that he loses concentration and is just ordinary if he learns to stay concentratred and motivated he can become very good.

He lost eight rounds straight. It's hardly "coming close".
he is very good but for someone of his ability he has massively underacheived so people look past him when the topic of fighters who never fulfilled their potential is raised in the future his name will be mentioned every time.
