Kidding aside since this fights in America there'll be no gifts for Ottke. Ottke had a super defense rarely getting caught with clean shots. Hopkins could be a sneaky counter-puncher with a good right hand. If he would be able to land it is another matter as Ottke rarely puts on meaningful attacks. This fight looks like a sure distance-fight to me. Hopkins would win a decision, not wide, but he would win. The fight would be extremely dull.

I don't see Ottke getting knocked out, he is very cautious and so is Hopkins. If there is one thing that Ottke can do well then that's not getting hit with clean punches. Hopkins would probably 'outwork' him and would have some success going to the body. Ottke always keeps his gloves up like Winky Wright. Everybody likes to shit on Ottke, but shitting aside, the man had a potent defense. Now if he can only throw punches... Oh wait a minute, he's in the same boat as Hopkins. Only problem is Hopkins wouldn't be dumb enough to try and coast through rounds against Ottke.

Is it wrong that even a thread with jovial remarks about Ottke infuriates me? Biggest all round cheat of all time in my opinion, mainly because his team, the ref, and the judges were always in on it too. I remember watching Robin Reid getting points taken off for punching Ottke in the face. Disgraceful. On US soil BHop blows him out in 5 if Ottke had home advantage I'd expect a mid round DQ for non-existant low blows, in favour of Sven naturally.
