Boxers that were/ARE scary to Fight.....
There Was Tyson...... There Was Foreman.... ETC.
I only see Miranda... Pavlik... and maybe Haye at cruseirweight....off the top of the head.
As of right now.. are there Any boxers that would actually be scary to fight for the other pros out there today?
Wladimir Klitschko is intimidating with his stare downs.
I totally agree about Miranda.
I remember when Pavlik was walking into the ring against Miranda, I was thinking how mean Miranda looked and I thought Miranda was going to KO him. I actually felt sorry for Pavlik because I thought he was going to get annihilated.
Then, the opposite happened.
But Miranda still has that badass look to him. Unlike Pavlik, Miranda can end a fight with one punch where as Pavlik uses accumulation to KO his opponents.
I felt the same. But Pavlik walked in that ring showing no fear and took over from the opening bell. Props to Kelly!
I'd say Cotto deserves to make the list after watching what he did to Gomez... In recent memory I can't remember a title fight (under middleweight) that was so one sided on every single skill factor involved... If there was ever a fight where a mercy rule (outside of an obvious TKO) would be acceptable, that fight was it. That doctor couldn't wait to get Gomez outta that ring... Not that Gomez is at the very elite level yet, but he impressively retired Gatti, then easily dealt with Ben Takie bumping him somewhere near the top 10, only to be completely annihilated by a man that looks like Baraka from Mortal Kombat...

Hell yeah on Mayorga and Vargas.
I mentioned Wlad before and I agree with you. He's a bit of a paradox because he seems so friendly and approachable when he is wearing his 1000 dollar suit and huge smile.
But when he steps in the ring he looks like he wants to eat your children.
Haha so true bro! Killer inside the ring, and a gentleman outside the ring.
Ricardo Mayorga is #1, hands down... Crazy motherfucker!!
Fernado Vargas always looked like a badass aswell.. Wladimir Klitschko looks like real life Drago in his staredowns. "I must break you"
I'd throw them on the list.
We forgot Big George! He was a scary mothafucka back in the day.
Yea i said foreman and tyson at the start.... Foreman especially after he knocked out Frazier.... his huge clubbing gorrilla like pounds landing on your head just looked Hard to take.
Tyson was just quick and hit hard... that combination is always scary.
also threw haye in there... haye just looks like someone not to fight... at cruiserweight or any lower.
What you think about haye? Scary? or jus a pretty boy!!

yEA... THATS THE RESON WHY I HAD MIRANDA UP THERE OFF THE TOP... THAT ONE HIT POWER.
SAM PETER MIGHT MAKE IT IN IF HE WAS A LIL MORE FLUENT WITH HIS WORDS.. LIKE IF HE WOULD MAKE A STATEMENT AND THEN STOP TALKING... HE SOUNDED LIKE AN IDIOT LAST TIME I SAW HIM.
I DONT THINK ALI WAS SCARY THOUGH.. JUST HARD TO BEAT.
COTTO... IF COULD COULD TALK MAYBE HE'D REGISTER.
MAYWEATHER DEFINTELY NOT... SORTA LIKE ALI... EVEN THOUGH YOU'D BE LIKELY TO LOSE YOU WEREN'T ACTUALLY SCARED.
maybe margarito
Personally, Vitali Klitchko would probably be my pick of "People not to get into the ring with". He's like a keystone predator, and he's fucking huge.
I think Tyson, pre or post prison, could be defeated with footwork and a persistant jab. His primary asset was to move inside instantly and unload fast, accurate combinations upstairs. If you kept him outside, backpedaling quick when he came forward, he was lost. Or if you beat him up a little, he'd get discouraged and cave, mentally.
Another one would be Joe Louis, in his prime. Fairly heavy puncher, blazing fast hands, skilled beyond imagination.....He might not pound you to a pulp like Klitchko, but he'll beat you silly and make you look like a fool while he does it. Ali is another one in this class, though with only a shadow of Louis' power.
