why everyone is being hard on dlh......nothing said has been positive

People can talk all the shit they want but at the end of the day they have no choice but to respect the guy, he has fought ALLOT of great fighters but what got my attention is his Schedule, he's talking about fighting Mayweather and after that he wants the Cotto vs Margarito winner, these guys are both some beast in their prime! how crazy would it be if he could pull it off? not saying that he would but the guy has some balls.

oscar was a 135 pounder himself so what's the arguement, i dont get it the thing is, he didnt HAVE to KO Forbes to send a message. But Oscar is an ELITE fight or is trying to convince people that he STILL is an elite fighter. Elite fighters dominate weaker competition. Oscar should have been more busier, more dominant than what he showed in MY opinion. I personally never said he looked bad but he didnt look "great" to me.

This was clearly a size and power mistmatch to insure a safe outcome for The Golden Boy. exactly, now if you say that pavlik is fighting 2 150lbs fighting forbes there is a big difference pavlik has never been 135lbs well maybe when he was 11 or 12, but dlh @ 147-150lbs is big, strong and fast for anyone in the division, i don't care what anybody says, and i know oscar can beat floyd this time around

No it is the different. Hatton was unbeaten in over 40 fights and a multiple world champion. Quite a few people gave him a chance to win. Forbes was a jr welter fighting a jr middle at 150 lbs. The odds on him winning were at least 10-1. So Oscar had his tune up, fine. But the thread starter was complaining that he wasn't getting due credit for it. shut up it was a tune-up fight. floyd did get slack for doing the same... know what the difference was? floyd fought a 140lb fighter by the name of Ricky Hatton (since you didnt know judging by your post that said, "floyd would have been crucified for doing the same thing") for a big PPV fight... oscar's was a tune-up for the floyd rematch. floyd fought hatton as a legit threat on ppv for $50-$55. thats the difference. if oscar fought forbes on ppv (or tried to sell it as more than a tune-up) then it would be different. So its becuase he didnt stop Forbes? that is why he looked like shit? Look Oscar doesnt need to convince casual fight fans, they already come to see him fight. I think the real reason people say he look like shit is simply becuase they just hate the man PERIOD. most of these people that are casting their opinions like this are Floyd fans, and does this surprise you? I mean we are talking about the same people that make excuses for Floyd not to fight the best in his divison. Why should this be any surprise? look the rematch will happen and if Oscar pulls it out, these same people that are talking shit will do the same even if Oscar knocks out Floyd, nothing Oscar does will be good enough. Floyd better win this rematch becuase if he doesnt, Oscar will retire after Cotto, and if Floyd wants to continue to make BIG money in this sport a loss against a semi retired DLH isnt going to help matters at all.

I'm not hating on Oscar at all. I just think people get out of hand with their praise, to the point of not being objective at all. Oscar looked good-in shape, good timing, good speed, etc. etc. BUT Forbes looked good too. Thats all. And if Forbes is as much of a scrub as some of these taints on here are saying, then it should have been a slaughter. It wasn't. It was a clean points win, but to hear the HBO sniffers tell it, Oscar could have turned Forbes into salt with little more than a steely gaze.
