Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith are going to talk about if they and fans want to see Hoya vs Mayweather 2.
They should be on in ten minutes so tune in
You, like Bayless and Smith (when it comes to boxing at least), are laughably ignorant.
Bayless is an asshole, but Smith is ok. But it was funny when Smith went to a USC game last year and brought two bodyguards with him. Like he has that much heat on him or something. :lol1:
although mayweather has been involved in brawls. chop-chop corley.
yes, it's rare but if he was to fight more people that were actually his size (sharmba, chop, hatton, judah, etc...) then he'd take more chances.
I don't why. I just get angry when I see these two faces...

I feel like punching puppies when they start to open there fucking yappers...
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Punching puppies? LOL
I like Stephen A. Smith's energy, I just wish he had a more informed opinion about boxing.
He tries though, so I respect him for that. I mean he covered boxing every week on his talk show. Cant say the same for any other of ESPN's showsexcept for maybe Jim Rome.
I GUARUNTEE this fight will generate almost just as much, if not more buys this time around. Last time, people thought Oscar had no chance, if the decision was unanimous I wouldn't say so, but HBO will promote it right and it will be big $$... there gonna talk about how Oscar didnt use the jab, how he was winning and all of that BS. And about Floyd Sr.
Oscar just fought on free tv, did pretty good.
Floyd Mayweather is coming off a thrilling and exciting victory in a huge fight, and was on Dancing with the Stars. Floyd is probably the biggest name in boxing now. I ask friends, do you watch boxing? and they say, yeah, floyd mayweather is a beast... he's getting to be bigger than Oscar
i agree that floyd has increased his popularity, but no one will ever be bigger than oscar. trust.

they said it was a "pillow fight"?
really?
the guys on a local radio show (here in the bay area) said it was the worst fight they ever saw and it was garbage...
when a caller asked why the radio show host replied, "because this wasn't a fight...where's the standing 8 counts; the blood; bruises; multiple knockdowns, etc.".
i thought to myself...
no its NOT the worst fight you ever saw, its the worst fight you ever expected to see (considering the fighters were oscar and floyd...not gatti and ward).
Idiots; both of them...espn's 2 commentators (i didnt see it but if they said it was boring and a pillowfight they are idiots) and the radio hosts of my local station as well.
were talking about oscar and floyd.
when people say it was boring/pillow fight i have to wonder if they ever seen these guys before (most notably floyd)...
floyd isnt a brawler...he posses an incredible amount of skill; and so does oscar.
this isnt a heavyweight title fight of the hayday of that division or gatti v. ward.
they arent brawlers...
nor do they lack technical boxing ability...
people like this should get fired...seriously.
it was a chess match the first time and will be a chess match for the rematch...plain and simple...
this is professional boxing with two elite fighters...
not bumfights in the back alley of a bar.
unfortunately, that is the mindset of the casual fan. One of the main reason boxing took a dip is because fighters started taking less risks, became businessmen and casual fans lost interests. they felt they were not getting what they paid for. its the plain and simple truth. you may not like it. i may not like it. but the fans run this sport. they want drama and excitement and Mayweather/De La Hoya I didn't deliver. Die hards dont pay the bills.
This is not to say that every fight needs to be Gatti/Ward. Of course not, but mega fights SHOULD be Dawson/Johnson. Mega fights SHOULD be Pacquiao/Marquez. Mega fights SHOULD be Casamayor/Katsidis. Of course, it is ultimately up to the fighters who make these mega fights to turn them in to mega fights. If all they do is hype and hype and hype and then disappoint in a sport where fighters used to be considered gladiators, well, the casual fan should not be criticized for feeling cheated.
great. stephen a smith needs to stick to yellin about football and basketball.

It's not even about boxing. These two fuckbags hate on EVERYBODY. I can't stand either of them.
I glad I'm not the only one these guys would be nobodys if they didn't really on shock commentary. They will say anything for ratings no matter if its completely false.
Even though I am like fuck the PBF vs. De la Hoya rematch yall have to admit if this fight gets made its going to sell. The numbers probably won't be as high as the first fight but the shit is going to sell.
i can see it getting about 900K+
