Basically...after the 2 above boxers.....who becomes the biggest name in boxing in America?
Tyson - Holyfield- Tyson - Roy Jones- Oscar De la Hoya - Floyd - ???
Pavlik looks like being one of the main pillars of US boxing for the near future.
Chad Dawson still has the potential to develop into something special.
Andre Dirrell, if he can build on from the Hanshaw win also looks like being a big player.
Then ofcourse are the Puerto Rican & Mexican fighters, who form the steady backbone of the US scene.
Undefeated Olympic medalists are probably the best bet...
Andre Ward maybe? I've never seen him fight. If he's exciting, then he clearly has a better chance at being the US poster boy.
Jermain Taylor could do it if he turns his career around at 168. He was definately supposed to be the guy who was going to do it in the first place, so...
to answer your question honestly, the biggest stars in boxing arent going to be American unfortunately. American boxing though will be carried by multiple boxers who arent individual SUPERSTARS, but stars nonetheless. When Mosley, Floyd, Winky and Oscar retire, American boxing is gonna go through a dark age untill someone is developed into a superstar.
