Are the guys most likely beat Floyd Mayweather at or around the division he fights in, or are there fighters higher up or lower down who could give him a good run for his money or possibly even a loss?

I think so, he's probably the most complete fighter in the sport right now.
I agree with him! I think people forget that Floyd has a solid chin also!
Calderon, Winky, Forrest are all good bets.
Malignaggi?!!? Mayweather would just start pressure him, and slowly punish him. I think you guys forget how efficient Mayweather is when he is the aggressor. It would take Calderon level of skills to negate deal with it.
Yeap Cazares was 5 weight classes above Calderon! Calderon came in to the fight at 117 and Cazares at 138! hugh difference in weight. Imagine If Calderon were as big as Floyd or viceverse, I think Calderon skills are better than Floyds, in the only deparment that Floyd have and advantage is in power, but in Hand speed, quickness, Movement, intelligence, is all Calderon!
and youll forgetting the man that will beat Floyd if they do fight, Miguel Cotto. Too Strong for Floyd Cotto is!
Thanks for the information on the weight, I disagree with most of what you said though. Calderon is a very skilled fighter but not as skilled as Mayweather I believe, hand speed is about even, Calderon is faster on his feet, Mayweather is the smartest boxer in the sport right now IMO and I don't think Cotto will beat Mayweather.
You DID say that he was only stunned, you have to admit, he was more than stunned.
Alright, he was hurt, but not to the point of getting knocked out, he had his wits about him.
But I don't believe he was as hurt as Calderon was against Cazares, Cazares wasn't 5 weight classes above him, at most 2.
I don't doubt that he was hurt, just not to the point that he was going to get knocked out.

I disagree, I well placed uppercut would have been lights out for Floyd. He got through that with a combination of luck and skill. Either way he was hurt just as bad as Calderon, and against a guy his own size. Calderon was hurt against a guy effectively 5 weight divisions bigger than himself.

An uppercut would have ended Floyd's night. Luckily, Corley is not that great a fighter.

Floyd really is lucky that Corley chose to throw a Jab then missed two wide open punches.
I have been through this before. An educated stiff jab is not something you want to counter. By mixing in double jabs and triple jabs, you can keep him from throwing that counter.
Mayweather would find a way to counter or slip a stiff jab that has no snap on it, even if it is doubled or tripled.
Covering up does not mean he wasn't badly hurt, because he was. He did stay composed and handled himself well, but much of that had to do with the fact that Corley didn't know what to do with a hurt Floyd.

He covered up real good, it wasn't that bad.

I needs to be snapping, Mayweather would be able to counter if it's only a stiff jab.

No, no, no, no. Floyd WAS hurt. He wobbled then stumbled back to the ropes. Any decent finisher would have ended the fight then and there. Corley simply threw stupid wild punches like an idiot.

He was stunned against Chop Chop, not nearly as badly as Calderon was hurt.

Doesn't need to be snapping, and it doesn't need to be fast, simply need to be stiff. Needs to be hard enough to keep him honest, and hard enough to keep him off balance.

I didn't say it had to be very fast, sharp and snapping is what I said. Doesn't need to be snapping, and it doesn't need to be fast, simply need to be stiff. Needs to be hard enough to keep him honest, and hard enough to keep him off balance.
Anyone can be hurt if they are hit by a big enough man. Mayweather was hurt badly against Chop Chop Corley.

The point of my post was to say that Calderon can get caught and hurt, I see Mayweather knocking Calderon out in come from behind fashion.
