EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: ROGER MAYWEATHER
Editor here with Roger Mayweather one of the best and well known trainers in the game today. What's good my man?
I'm just chilling right now. We just got back from Canada for Ishe Smith's fight on ESPN.
Speaking of Ishe what grade do you give him for his performance against Joel Julio?
Well for the last five rounds I give him an A. The first five rounds he didn't do what he trained for. He didn't throw enough punches. Julio really wasn't landing shit but Ishe wasn't throwing enough. So I guess they got to give it to the guy that's more busier.
What did you tell Ishe between rounds?
I told him he's gotta back Julio up. I told Ishe to put pressure on him and cut down his range of movement. Stay busier and land some shots on his ass.
What did you think of Ishe's counter punching?
He did a great job of that. But boxing aint about counter punching. Fuck that counter punching man it's about winning the fight. Counter punching don't mean shit to me if a mother fucker don't win the fight. The bottom line is that you got to go out there and win the fight. Take the fight to the mother fucker instead of waiting on his ass. You have to put on a good performance by keeping your hands moving. I can see why some people said it was a close fight. Ishe landed clean shots and he was catching and rolling most of Julio's punches. It was a good fight.
Do you think you will see a different Oscar when your nephew rematches him in September being that your brother will be in his corner?
It will be a different Oscar but he will still get his ass beat no matter who is in his corner. It don't make a difference no god damn way. I don't give a fuck who's in his corner cuz Oscar can't outbox my nephew. He can't out think my nephew either. Boxing is a thinking man's game and Floyd is the smartest boxer out there.
Roger tell us who you like between Calzaghe and Roy Jones Jr?
Roy Jones would win that fight. He's got the edge in skills and speed. Calzaghe slaps like a girl:banana: . I can't stand all that slapping shit:banana:. The fight was close with him and Hopkins:kiss: . I mean he didn't dominate Hopkins and Hokpins is forty something years old. Roy Jones got a little more pop than Hopkins too. Roy has got better head movement than Calzaghe and just flat out boxing skills.
Can we get some closing statements to the fans at Edit?
I love my fans at Edit man. That's why I never hold back. I always tell it like it is. Even if a mother fucker don't like it I always spit the truth. I got a young fighter right now name Said Ouali. He's a welterweight and I think he's ranked #11 by the WBC. He's a good young fighter and he's got heavy hands man. He can punch like Cotto. So look out for him.
Once more, Real Talk from one of the funniest characters in boxing.
For those on this thread who have talked out of their ass saying that Floyd wasn't agressive in the early rounds, watch the video:
Both guys were equally as agressive, only in the later rounds Judah started fading away and backing up more. Floyd remained consistant from the begining to the end.
I can't be blamed for you wasting your time on thing you don't understand, such as my posts. Take your limited boxing knowledge and go join another site.
You're right, you can't be blamed. Won't make that mistake again.
Jolly Roger who is that in your avatar?
Dude looks like he hasn't evolved.
He's got that Cotto caveman shit going on.
Enormous jaw and shit. LMAO.
Chris Eubank.

I'll take this as I didn't completely explain myself. At the lower weights PBF was more active and stayed in front of his opponents basically for however long the fight lasted unless he hurt himself. I agree with you that PBF makes his opponents tired its just that he does it in a very different way than what he did at the lower weights. Now with the bigger opponents PBF hits them with very well placed counter shots. He jabs them to the pit of the stomach constantly add that to his ring movement and making them miss shots the bigger fighter is now tired. Once PBF knows he has them tired is when he becomes more aggressive and opens up more. Truth be told even then PBF still doesn't open up like he would at the lower weights which is understandable.
Now this I agree with.
LOL.
Floyd outboxed the boxer Hernandez for the first five rounds. Once Chicanito realized he couldn't outbox him, his corner told him to sell out - that's when the action shot up and when he got beat the f*ck up as well.
Floyd ALWAYS begins by boxing, often jabbing to the body to slow his opponent down. Man, he's beein doing that for ages. How dumb would it be to wait for a bigger opponent to get tired...that's how you get tired yourself! NO, he MAKES the bigger opponent get tired. He beat Hatton's body up pretty bad, wouldn't you say?

What's wasted was my time spent reading your posts.
Thanks anyway...for nada.

I am not a big Floyd fan. Most people who type like that are indeed big Floyd fans. Floyd does not have an incredible offense, not that we see anyway.
Satire and parody are clearly wasted on you, and you had the cheek to call me an idiot.....:nonono:

He was! Put up a poll asking who was the aggresor for the first 4-5 rounds of that fight. Floyd eventually walked him down and was the aggressor for the remainder of the fight, but Zab was the one putting the heat on Floyd for the majority of the early rounds.
How about you just go watch the fight again?
Floyd was the aggressor from the opening bell. Except Judah boxed well, catching him with counters as he came in and working combos while circling. That's how he knocked Floyd down.
After two rounds, Floyd had a slight look of discouragement on his face. And Roger told him, "Don't worry about that, just keep pressing his a**."
That was the plan from the get. It didn't start working for a round or two but...he did that from the opening bell.
Just because someone has success SCORING doesn't mean they're the aggressor. Inf act, you guys should apply that to Floyd as well ;).
I hate to say this but...you're an idiot. And probably 16 by the way you switch the colors in your post like this is pre-school.
it is possible to box and have an effective offense. Just a thought. But you'd have to follow boxing to know that.

Aren't you the same guy who said Zab was the aggressor in the early rounds against Floyd?
Who should wave the white flag again?

I agree, he uses his INCREDIBLE offensive skills to chase them down and stalk them around the ring ALL NIGHT. Only reason Floyd gets called a runner is because he is so good HE has to run after THEM all night, they want NOTHING to do with him!

Cmon, u have a big Floyd (Tredh) fan disagreeing with you. Wave the white flag already. Floyd has turned into a fighter who waits for his opponents to tire out, or make mistakes that he can capitolize off of. Nothing wrong with that, but its the truth!
Aren't you the same guy who said Zab was the aggressor in the early rounds against Floyd?

And I know YOU aren't talking after conveniently avoiding all the posts that proved your last point FALSE.
And no one is saying Floyd is the same fighter that he was at 130-135. But this idea that he waits for opponents to get tired is, for lack of a better term, dumb.
He MAKES opponents get tired. And not by running either.

My comment is not false. Against Hernandez and just about all his opponents at the lower weight PBF fought more in the pocket and in front of his opponents. Now that he has moved up he doesn't fight like that until those bigger fighters are tired.
LOL.
