Mayweather vs De La Hoya Boycott

There's a lot videos from boxing fans on YouTube requesting every boxing fan to boycott the Mayweather vs De La Hoya fight. Personally I won't be PPV'ing for this fight, it just doesn't interest me. I will be boycotting the fight. It's a farce. What are your toughts? As a fan of Mayweather i won't do it.

What does your post have to do with the thread topic? Let me put it in layman's terms for you: nobody will boycott the fight.

sounds like everyone is using sopcast, so I guess I WONT be watching because the lag will be unbearable.

Contrary to your asinine belief WE don't make up all of the 2 million people that payed towatch this bout. Yes, the first fight was marketed beautifully, and it came at a time when boxing fans were desperate for something big. It was hyped up beyond belief, and we (us fans) all fell for it. It turned out to be the most overhyped fight in the history of the sport, and left alot of fans with a bad taste in thier mouths. Do u honestly think that this fight will do close to what the first fight did? Hell No! I'd be surprised if it even does half of what the first fight did.

More free publicity for Floyd. The guy is going to be bigger than other boxer not named ALI when it's all said and done. I don't think I've ever seen such a large group of so called Mayweather critics/haters that have blown a guy up that they supposedly can't stand. Mayweather did not get this popular because of anything he's done in the ring. He's this popular because idiot fans, writers and odd balls think they're doing something by thrashing his name every chance they get. ATTENTION: That doesn't work. It will not have the desired effect. I can't go to youtube, boxing websites, etc... without Mayweather being hated on. I wonder if Floyd and Oscar read these boards, and all of the other boxing internet sites, and see that pretty much EVERYONE is against and dissapointed in this rematch. Not even the casual fans that i know, want to see this fight. the 1st fight looked close from far, but when you watch it up close, you will see floyd won about 8 rounds, and oscar about 4, floyd was landing the cleaner shots.

Damn do i miss the days of the "hotbox" I can only imagine the numbers that fights like Tito/Oscar, Tito/Vargas, Tyson/Holyfield, etc would've done if it were not for hotboxes.

I am obviously the minority but i don't mind this fight at all. Would much rather see PBF against Cotto or Margirito but other than those two DLH is the best fighter out there around his weight. The first fight was incredibly close (I had it a draw) and if DLH can keep his jab going and stop himslef fading in the final 4 rounds then I don't see why he cant win! I won't be happy if it is Box Office but it should be on normal Sky just like the first one. I will definately be watching it.

i can say i will but the fact i love boxing so much wont allow me. i will end up watching it. luckily for me it might be shown free in england! I'm in the same boat. I have a slight interest in this fight, but somewhere along the way the hype, these board, and 24/7 will draw me in. Unfortunate for me it won't be free.

It's boxing and It's Floyd and DLH (who won't be fighting very much longer), I don't mind the boycott but I will see this fight, on sopcast.

if lucky it will be on sky sports de la hoya forbes is on sky sports on sat night sun mornin and because neither are british they tend to place these kind of fights on sky sports but seein as Mayweather was a big draw in the hatton fight they mite make us pay! its lookin 50/50
