I certainly don't.
I can understand Mayweather fighting Oscar because it was a close fight, and the timeframe for that fight happening again is limited. Oscar is pretty old after all. He also will make Mayweather more money than any other fight he can ever take in the future. Even though Mayweather-Cotto makes more sense, there are at least a few key statements you can point to that can justify the De La Hoya rematch somewhat.
The Hatton fight... I just can't understand a single reason that would make it preferable to a Cotto fight.
Mayweather dominated the fight. Hatton isn't a household name for non-boxing fans. The boost in PPV sales for the Cotto fight would more than make up for the diminished number of fans at the live event.
So let's hear it! If you support this rematch, then come at me with your reasons! I really am interested to hear them, because I would like to believe that there is a reason that this is even talked about at the moment.
The Weebler II can start, claiming that Hatton got robbed and would have kicked Mayweather's ass if it weren't for Joe Cortez. :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
I will be really frustrated if the rematch comes off, I want a reporter to ask Hatton does he think he has a better chance than Cotto to defeat Mayweather, would be interested to see Hatton's response.
Good post u have a point PMJ wants big money fights and Hatton and DLH offer him the most. Let him fight Hatton then face the winner of Cotto/ Margarito

I'm not sure about justifying it as a better alternative to Cotto - Mayweather, I like most people would much rather see that fight. However, I think a Hatton - Mayweather rematch in the UK is reasonably justifiable in and of itself. Why not?
I think that you, like a lot of Hatton's critics are taking a pretty one-sided, American view of Hatton, you say that "Hatton isn't a household name for non-boxing fans" and in the US that is true, but in the UK, he is literally our most famous and popular boxer, such a fight would fill Wembley stadium and make for a great boxing event that would raise the profile of boxing in the UK massively. You may not care about that, but I and thousands of other people in the UK certainly do.
As for the fight itself, OK, Hatton got beat, but that doesn't make him a bum, it just makes him another in a long list of fighters who couldn't beat Mayweather, the world's best boxer. Prior to that he was undefeated and he remains the linear and recognised JWW champion. Floyd gave him the only loss of his career. Doesn't any fighter who goes so long without losing and who has themselves risen to the top of their division deserve a chance to avenge their only loss. Any fight is not about only what is good for Mayweather and his fans, but for Hatton and his army of fans too. There are two sides to the story. Also shouldn't Hatton get credit for being prepared to get back in and take another shot at the man who KO'd him? I think so, and I can't see a reason why he shouldn't be allowed the chance, even if it is seen by many as a non-existent one.
And what about the result of any rematch? Well, to me it looks like another Mayweather victory. When he opened up against Hatton he looked much better, and I like many feel that if he wanted to he could knock Hatton out even quicker if he wanted to. The thing is with this though is that that is not Mayweather's way. He is a defensive boxer and likes to box his way to decision if he can. For me the most likely result is exactly that: a Mayweather decision, as I'm sure that Hatton will box a lot better fight the second time around too. I think that this opens up the remote possibility of an upset decision in Hattons favour, not probability, possibility. Mayweather's style is one that in essence is frought with risk, throw little, take less and hope the judges like what they see. Their is no guarantee that this would happen in the UK, where judges (and fans) tend to prize aggression much more than in the US. You rarely see discussion of compubox and punch counts on British boxing coverage, the commentators tend to talk about who is "taking the fight to his opponent". If mayweather were to have any kind of off night, if Hatton were to pull out a career best performance and take the fight to Floyd throughout, then there is a very real chance that hatton would get the verdict. It might not be fair, but the chance is there. At the very least this would be a chance to see Mayweather prove his status as the best by going abroad, in exactly the way Hatton and all British fighters are expected to, and beating his opponent on his own patch. It would be great to see for most boxing fans.
So, please don't call me a Hatton nuthugger, I seriously doubt that he beats Floyd, and I to would like to see Floyd and Cotto fight. All I am saying is that there is no reason not to give Hatton another go, other than a fairly insular view that Cotto Floyd is the ONLY fight worth seeing. That fight will happen one day and be huge, but in the meantime a Hatton rematch has plenty going for it, whether you are a Hatton or a Floyd fan. It would be a great event, good for boxing, massively popular in the UK, and at Wembley, I'm sure, very entertaining.
Sorry but I don't see any point to Mayweather/Hatton II or Mayweather/DLH II not when there is Migual Cotto out there. The public should demand he fights Cotto, anything else is just about money.
hell yeah son,i don't got no problem with money making another 20 mill.i heard he's gonna get another 20 mill for that racing shit son.money may money may money may shun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is he sharing with you?
I have asked this question a million times! these lifestyle flash dudes celebrate his wealth as if he is sharing the dough amongst dem, i like mayweather but instead of all the effort they use celebratin his wealth (creating groups, making sigs and gifs etc) why not use that energy to try and make themselves a fraction of that wealth:nonono:
lol mayweather-hatton II would be the stupidest thing ever, Ricky got ktfo and it isnt worth floyds time to fight him again. Ricky isnt even on the same level as floyd as an athlete, all that weight he puts on between fights, the eating, the drinking, the guy isn't a true athlete. Im not a really big pbf fan, but hes a f***** surgeon in the ring, and I think the only rematch that would be worth his time would be the DLH mayweather II.
On a side note, im not saying id like to see it but I think Cotto-Hatton would be a good match up, has it ever been brought up?
d i havent to pr in like ten years.i've spent a total year of my life there.
Well I obviously just need to shut the fuck up then!
:)
I had the right idea though.
Floyd has no reason fighting Hatton again! Just like Calzaghe had no reason fighting Mario Veit again after he TKO'ed him in 1 round! the sport we know and love is almost havin a WWE type smell to it! DLH reminds me of Vince McMahon while the Mayweathers could be the African-American version of the Heart Foundation! Man this shit is ridiculous:lol1:
He's joking. I can guarantee no Cotto fan, especially from Puerto Rico is going to be all about a rematch of Floyd and Hatton.
Thanks for the tip. I get some of these cats confused these days.

i already dont like the rematch with delahoya but you have point. it was close fight so another fight is cool. :biggthump if he fights hatton thou a second time, that i will not understand. :chairshot :D
