I have to disagree with you, man. No offense.
After the fight, Hatton was saying how strong floyd was. That means that Floyd was stronger, faster, more skilled, more experienced, better conditioned, etc...
What advantage does Hatton actually have over Floyd?
none really...
Let's put it this way, if the the referee wasn't Joe Cortez Hatton wouldn't have gotten kayod. I also think that if the fight takes place in England, Mayweather doesn't get away with the elbows, forearms, clinches, bending below the waist, etc., etc.
Let's put it this way. If Mayweather was an left arm amputee, Joe Cortez was Papa Smurf, and the ring post was made of bangers and mash...
Hatton would have still lost.
I scored it for Hatton.
What round was that? You couldn't be talking about the entire fight, lol. However I do agree with Addison that the gross dismissal of Hatton's talents by Floyd's blind followers is absurd. Mayweather's win proved his own greatness rather than Hatton's incompetance. I mean a guy wins over 40 straight fights, moves up in weight to fight the #1 boxer in the world, and suddenly he becomes a joke to alleged expert viewers? That's some really stupid shit and it gets real tiring to hear and read every day.
I'm willing to qualify my position though. It is the same for me. To begin with, I've seen every professional fight in his career including many of his fights before he turned pro. I can consider myself extremely familiar with Floyd the fighter, and Floyd the individual. Secondly, I've been an informal expert on human behavior my whole life, and a certified expert as a graduate of one of the best Method acting schools in the world. I studied for years and years. Telling the truth under all circumstances, imaginary, and real world is what I do, professionally. I'm a 20th degree black belt in the arts. Certified.
I'll also take Floyd's word that Hatton was the toughest competitor he ever faced. I would imagine there's some reason he said that..
damn.what the fuck are you waiting for?a position to open up somewhere for philosopher king?that's a lot of shit man.
To warrant a rematch? But seriously, Ricky is one tough fighter and Floyd really had to "wrestle" with him and do a lot to keep him off him. I don't think he struggled with Hatton (considering Hatton only won like 2 rounds), it was just a tough physical fight that he had to use a lot of energy on.
I don't think he was used to that after breezing by Baldomir and not having to be that physical with Oscar.
No tieing up on the inside is not illegal. Holding and hitting is (which Mayweather did a little, but it's a fight. Shit happens.)
I could say the same for you, but there could be other reasons other then just scared. He was doing something new and when wrestling he was uncomfrotable, but he did it to win.
It's the same like the Mayweather Castillo 1 fight. People say "Well Mayweather didn't look like he won on his facial expression!!" He went 12 rounds in the toughest fight of his career. Of course he's going to have a tired face.

So Mayweather won because he cheated?

Ok, tell me, warp.. In what way exactly do you qualify yourself as an expert on human behavior or Floyd Mayweather?

3. He was holding on so that Hatton couldn't throw off more combinations and wanted to throw Hatton off his game plan. He might have looked uneasy because he wasn't used to clinching like that (definietly not because he was scared...), but I didn't see him looking uneasy at all.

1) Kenny is a fuckin weirdo.
2) Hopkins won, period. I don't need to hear it from every expert in the sport for confirmation.
3) Mayweather was holding on, and his face looked very uneasy at different points despite the fact that Hatton was rarely landing.

Did he really say that?????
Yep. Then he argued with Teddy for 5 minutes after Teddy claimed that Hopkins might have been stopped if he didnt fake being hurt from the low blow.
"Mayweather had to hold to survive against Hatton. Go ahead and watch the tape." Ha!!!
Both him and Atlas agreed that Cortez did a horseshit job of officiating in that fight. They are correct.
