I'm curious to see who yall want to see Calzaghe in with next. I personally would like to see him in with Roy Jones Jr. Unlike a lot of posters here, I havent counted Roy out yet. Even though he may have lost some of his athletic attributes and capabilities, I feel the wisdom he has gained from his experience can help him overcome the toughest challenge out there.
Kelly Pavlik, because I want his ass to be exposed. I don't think he is nearly as great as everything else is making him out to be.
Unfortunately what you or I think doesn't make boxers legacy any different.....it's the boxing that does the talking and in beating Eubank, Kessler and Hopkins and staying concentrated and committed enough to remain undefeated for over 10 years means his legacy is assured.
As for Pavlik, I too would like to see that fight rather than old man Roy. Tough one to call because there is no doubt Pavlik has fire in his fists but then so did Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy and Kessler........all dispatched with ease.
Id say you will be mangerless after the game tomorrow. :boxing:
A stadium will hardly mourn.
He is the most boring uncharasmatic bitch in football.
I think we'll win there is zero pressure on Chelsea really even if we win don't Man U have to drop points against fuckin Wigan.
Pavlik, he'd have wiped out the best from the 3 divisions in 3 fights.
another good point!
How sick is that!
Joe needs to work Gary Lockett's corner or some thing. That'd hype it up a bit. When Joe is picking poor Gary of the floor.
I mean, people are saying that he wipes Mikkel Kessler out in like 2 rounds.
Those are the people I am talking about.
Im a huge Pavlik fan and I favor Kessler in a war. Not all Pavlik fans are that bad. I think Pavlik is also beyond the point of being "exposed" he would just either get beat or outclassed, but he has shown (to me at least) that he is a good fighter.
Im going to say something I never thought I would. I think both Roy and Pavlik have a real shot against Calzaghe. I would pick Joe over both of them, but I can see some openings from the Hopkins fight. The problem is that it can be easy to forget how much of a freak of nature Hopkins is and how he can make anyone look bad. That might be the only reason I give either guy a chance. I think both would have to win by KO, but I see ways they can both do it. Still Id pick Joe by UD over Kelly and by SD over Roy.
Joe vs. Pavlik would look alot like the Kessler fight so I think barring Kelly hurting Joe he would just lose a wide UD (this comming from a huge Pavlik fan by the way.) With Jones it is interesting because if I thought Joe had a hard punch I would say Joe wins easily because Roy would cover up and fight afraid like he fought after the KOes, but as it stands I make it a 60/40 win for Joe. Roy shouldnt have to worry about Joe hurting him with anything so he should throw more and Joe still has to watch out for Roys power. It's a better fight then I thought it would be.
I wanna see him fight Pavlik. i think he wins that EASY and maybe even stops Pavlik!!
i dont wanna see him lose to RJJ
i just think Roy showed some of his old skills in the Tito fight and think he can do what bernard did (come close to winning) and edge out Joe on the cards.
Stops Pavlik. The homers go on and on. Pavlik is a much bigger threat to slappy mcslapperson. Slappy would probably beat roy on points because the judges seem to like to award points for slaps to the arms and gloves. Roy doesn't throw that much. Slappity slap slap slappity slap slap.

I am actually from Birmingham Alabama and they have all black schools and jobs. No offense to you if you are white because i am not racist but i have never seen any other race besides black until i moved from there.
Sweet
Montgomery is almost sixty percent black. I've spent a decent amount of time in the deep south, lots of self segregation.
You would fit in well in Mississippi or Alabama.

:lol1: exposed? no one is saying Pavlik is "great" they are saying he's good.
Good enough to beat most if not all the top Middleweights out there right now.
Definatley good enough to take calzaghes weak slaps and would throw enough punches to beat him on points if not KO him.
Oh yeah, it would also be nice to see him fight Pavlik to prove to everyone that power diminishes when a fighter moves up. I have people constantly battling me that Pavlik would keep his power when he moves up, and would be able to punch holes in people in the LHW division.
Pavlik may well keep his power if he moves up. Or, at least, hang on to enough of it avoid a serious detriment to his game. It's not like he's knocking middleweights cold with one punch as it is - accumulation will still be effective at higher weight classes. He may just need a little more of it.
Pavlik wins! Call me crazy but I don't think Joe has enough to hurt Pavlik or keep Kelly off of him. Too much pressure and power for Joe. But I chose Jones, it's a fight that should of already happened and should happen now.
