I didn't see any clean counter boxing from Hopkins, he was holding on to Calzaghe's right hand.

clean punching counts for more than the other three since in boxing, the clean punch is the only weapon against an opponent. The other three criteria are used when necessary to score a close round. if your a fan of the boxing rules hopkins prob won. if your a fan of your own rules calz prob won. no,,,,if youre a fan of holding,,,playing dead to catch a rest and headbutting then hopkins won. I dont like either fighter and neither guy impressed me but calzache clearly won a boring decision. hopkins didnt do nearly enough to win. he's a light heavyweight ruiz and should retire

Hopkins does not follow boxing rules. He headbuts and grapples, fakes low blows and avoids contact as much as possible. His move would be illegal even in an mma fight. Minus the headbutts, this is exactly what John Ruiz does. Apparently he faked a low blow against Holyfield in their 2nd fight. Does anybody happen to have that clip of Ruiz going down against Holy?

doode, i havent seen you post here in forever.. nice to see you here again.. i agree with the points i have been here ive been posting under the name Pacrules for a long time cause i lost a bet when sturm got KOd by castelljo i just changed it back recently if you say hopkins ran you should be dismissed as a boxing fan, THAT was not running by any means, that was movment to bring joe in and if you cant seperate the two i question your knowledge or maybe your heavily biased the fight coulda gone either way just to re-iterate myself and it seems u touchy joe fans get ticked off and attack anyone who doesnt think it was a blowout for Joe

Just watched it again and Calzaghe won man lol The rest are just being biased cuz they dont wanna admit that a BRIT won..Not all im saying just a majority still call for a rematch cause no man proved they were better Joe was asked that and replied "Will Hopkins bring some fans next time" lol Rematch proves nothing Joe won end of.. Theres thousand of other fights in history that deserved rematches also and never got them.. This is no different MOVE ON

Its pretty simple and i think after the heat and drama dies down more people will see it If your a fan of a come forward and punch agressive style, calzaghe won if your a fan of clean effective counter punchign and defence then B-hop won the fight was close and coulda gone either way and i beilve calzaghe got the descion is because the whole boxing world loves an agressive fighter, so unless your absolutly crush an oppenet with a style like hopkins you wont get the nod anywhere i still call for a rematch cause no man proved they were better doode, i havent seen you post here in forever.. nice to see you here again.. i agree with the points
