Hopkins put in possibly his best performance of his career last night, all things considered. He looked in tremendous physical shape and didn't gas as easily as I thought he would, although he did a little. Hopkins fought better against Joe than he did against Taylor, and at that point he wasn't 43, so all this "But Hopkins was 43" bullshit stops here, Joe Calzaghe is, and always was, better than Bernard Hopkins.
For comparisons, here's Hopkins vs Glen Johnson in 1997.
I do notice one similarity between the two fights (6:10 in this vid), atleast that low blow actually connected. :lol1:
Here's Hopkins vs Calzaghe in 2008.
Simply just go and watch Hopkins against Glenn Johnson in his prime, then you can see just how much stamina and speed he has lost true the years. As he has become older he he cant put as much pressure as before.
And this is nothing that has happend just for this fight, it has been happening bit for bit true the years.
If you are going to aruge that he was in his prime for this fight, you are out of this world. Joe couldnt hurt Hopkins at 43, ad he wouldnt for sure do it to a younger Hopkins.
But hey, im sure that its fans that thinks Roy is in his prime still to.
While we are at it what about Morrison ?? Didnt he beat Foreman ?? Wow even Frazier couldt do that !!!

This is another of your posts " The fact that one judge only gave it to Joe by a single point says all it needs to about Enzos motivation for saying that: Joe needed a big last round to win, especially in vegas. Luckily for Joe, the Vegas judging was fair for probably the first time ever."
What exactly were you watching or listening too?? Schoolboy error
how blind are u? Key word being looked ! in shape but he wasnt lol he got so tired in the last half he needed 4 mins to recover from phantom low blows.
He showed he was tired when he bought time faking the low blow .. I don't know for a fact that he faked it but thats what it looked like .. Other than that he looked good.
hopkins beat, and he'd beat cal prime for prime too, how can you say hopkins is his prime? because he's in good shape, if his punch output was 30 punches+ per round he'd have beaten cal even worse. :boxing:
Hopkins didn't beat Joe. Joe is, and always was, the better fighter of the pair.
