floyd mayweather has done nothing for me over the past 4 years. the only good win for me was over zab judah. i thought part timer dlh beat him and don't mention the hatton bout. he is a sliding junior welterweight.
until he beats the likes of vernon forrest ,margarito, williams, quintan and cotto, he will not be number 1 (still top 3). an impressive win over dlh in sep could make him no1 again
Pacman has clearly declined. He has looked a fading force to me since the 2nd erik morales fight. he was very lucky to get the nod against JMM (who is top 5 p4p for me)
Cotto's is number 2 for me based on the opposition he has faced over the past few years. pbf may be too much but we will have to wait and see. He has faced 3 of the best welterweights in the world (mosley, judah, quintanta) and some really dangerous opposition at 140.
Joe Calazaghe is the only man that has been truly outstanding over the past 3 years. He has beat the best in his division in impressive fashion, and has reigned for over 10 years as champ.
My top 5 P4P are:
Calzaghe
Cotto
PBF
Juan Manuel marquez
Pavlik
oh aight, i thought u was tyrin to say tha bottom 11 bums actually meant somthin/was great american opponents.
No. Although some of them were probably better than some people think. Everyone fights nobodies. Hopkins done it himself too.
And that wasn't the point. At all. Someone suggested he fought 2 Americans. I was giving facts, not an opinion of each one.

yep, of those 15 only 4 are known, an only 1 is truly a great fighter.

Still no guess? Then I'll tell you.
15.
After tonight, 16. I will also name them.
In descending order:
Bernard Hopkins
Peter Manfredo Jr.
Jeff Lacy
Byron Mitchell
Tocker Pudwill
Miguel Angel Jimenez
Charles brewer
Will McIntyre
Omar Sheika
Tyler Hughes
Pat Lawlor
Anthony Brooks
Guy Stanford
Tyrone Jackson
Robert Curry
Frank Minton
Exactly one third of Joe's opponents are American.

No. Try another guess.

Racist?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Yeah, right.
Cut the guy some slack. He is entitled to his opinion, and if Joe Calzaghe is his #1 fighter, nothing you say will ever change his mind.
how many american fighters has joe fought? 2? i like the guy dont get me wrong but these threads will hold a little more weight in my mind after tonight even if bhop is 43.
The only thing you have led people to conclude with this is: you are white, and you are racist. Joe is a fucking joke and if he gets p4p for beating a 43 year old fighter then Floyd would get the ICON tag for beating 35 year old Oscar, which you call old by the way.
How does that make him racist? :ugh:

i agree completely, calzaghe is p4p no1. this would have been recognised alot earlier if he was american.
It definately does not help that he fought in a division dominated by Europeans.
Still though, a lot of his early 168 title defense were against guys who faded into nothing. Eubank, Reid, and a couple of others are really the only ones who had some good success outside of getting a single title shot.
I am one of those people though that find the win over Kessler to be extremely impressive.
Beating B-hop wouldnt necessarily put Joe C at the top of the tree IMHO, But he isnt far off. Joe has too many mediocre fights at 168 to be top at the moment.

nah... only if calzaghe dominates or KTFO hopkins would I even possibly consider him p4p #1 over floyd or pacquiao.
