If Joe wins convincingly tonight, should he be P4P #1?

skills wise floyd is the best, skills wise pacman is very limited... record wise miguel cotto is Number 1 in recent times, he's beaten so many current champs, p4p fighters and good fighters that if anyone deserves to be number 2 it's him... just look at his record!!!

With an impressive KO win you can make a good case for it. Of course everyone expects this fight to go the distance, which is why a convincing KO win would be so impressive.

I could see him being #3 after a good win tonight.

Tonight's version of Hops is not the Legendary guy that we'll remember. The guy Zaghe will beat tonight is not an opponent that puts suddenly pushes you up the ever-changing P4P heap.

Who cares about this P4P crap? It is not a accurate measurement on where a fighter stands. There are great fighters out there not even on the list simply due to politics or whatever, they cannot land a career defining fight. The P4P list is bogus and not accurate. They do not measure a fighters potential or overall skill, they are more of a popularity contest. If Joe wants to leave his mark, beat Hopkins, then clean out the rest of the guys. He could very well accomplish it also. People put too much stock in the P4P thing. The ranks will never get tested.

Joe is number 2 for me, i am unsure if i would put him ahead of floyd even with a win against bhop. tough call. floyd is the man, regardless of everyones opinions. fact is the kid has really nnever even been close to losing a fight since way back against castillo.

Kessler seems to be underated by Ring, whom many think would KO Hopkins. That's more than reasonable when you consider Joe is favourite against Hopkins, and Kessler gave a tough chinned Joe some trouble in one of his closest fights. Tarver didn't look convincing enough for me against Woods, I think RJJ would edge it against him now, more genuine hunger in the ring, where Tarver is oddly noway near as firey as his gob. Whoever wins between Dawson Tarver if that happens, is big, so that'd be a big win for Joe thereafter. But were in the odd position where its so debatable whose better between them, Johnson, RJJ now. Pavlik is another story, and I think would be a weight challenge for Joe. He looked drained against Kessler, he can't make SMW comfortably any more, esp after being at LH now.

Mayweather should get no credit for beating 34 year old Oscar , but Calzaghe should get credit for beating 43 year old Hopkins? It doesn't seem consistent. It seems like fanboys speaking out their arses.

No, he shouldn't. Regardless if he wins every single round, I'd still pick Floyd to whoop his ass if they were the same size. That's what P4P is all about.

I think a strong arguement could be made to make him #1 and why not the man has not lost a single fight in his career much like Mayweather, he has 20+ title defenses probably has more than Hopkins has in title defenses and he has also fought all of the top very best super middleweights of his era and beat them unlike Mayweather Jr. So I truely think that in a perfect world when joe is done whipping Hopkins ass tonight, in a perfect world justice would be served, But we dont live there no such place exsist, we live in a nuthugger world we live in a place where reality is deluted by illusions where lies become truth where fighting guys like Baldimor, Judah, Gattti, and Sosa make you #1 P4P.
