Just been disscussing this in work. From what i have seen and read there is not much support for this fight from our American cousins but does this fight really need Americas suuport eg promotion and ppv etc
If this fight went ahead at Wembley they would get 80000 fans and considering the ppv no's were higher over here than in the usa does this fight really need all the hype that went with the last one
Neither is Ricky Hatton so that fight would make perfect sense. Ricky's 0 is gone, and i think he realizes he might as well make the most money getting his ass kicked rather than fighting someone could also possibly beat him for not as big money. I really doubt Hatton can beat Paulie, well maybe in the UK he can because he will just hold and hit, but i think Paulie will spoil any rematch. Hatton is in no position to fight Cotto, Alfonso Gomez would beat Ricky Hatton at 147. Hatton's best option in my opinion is wait for the smaller guys to come up (Juan Diaz and Manny Pac)
I agreee with some of what u say but I don't know how u can say he is not an elite fighter just because he got beat of Floyd, he is the No 1 @ 140, never been beat in that division and never nearly been beat in that div.
Hatton could fight my mam and still make more cash than any boxer in the world apart from oscar and floyd so its deffo not a decision to fight the best for more money
Hatton has been saying since the very early days that he wants to fight the best. Junior witter is not an elite fighter and hes a prick as well. Ricky Hatton is in a postion to fight the elite, this may well just be down to his fanbase and the fact plenty of pounds are involved when it comes to Ricky Hatton but he is still in that position ( I believe it's a mixture of both Hattons ability and his fan base that puts him in that position )
Now if your in a position to fight Miguel Cotto at Madison Square garden or Floyd Mayweather at Wembley, why on earth would u fight junior witter.
People forget hes only been beat once when he had a really off night against the best p4p fighter in the world (when the p4p had every advantage u could wish for) This does'nt make him a bad fighter

Why not Witter?

They can generate millions by having the fight at wembley and it no doubt be the biggest fight of all time in the UK
but result wise its gonna be a big loss for us Ricky fans
tbh I think it might go the distance and Mayweather gets robbed over here. I just think Floyd really is too good for anyone, hes just too clever, Would take a dodgy decision for him to be beat
It would deffo be a more entertaining fight over here and Hatton needs to keep his cool, he lost it in the buildup and in the ring last time
