You don't need quick feet when you block and hit like him...
Joe could beat him fighting off the backfoot.
He would have done what Chad Dawson in rounds 6,7,8,9 for the whole fight.
Glen always makes it difficult, but Joe is a different level of fighter to Glen.
I wanna say winky, but after his performance against bhop in july im starting to get wary. Although Calzaghe has unbelivable speed, I feel like there isn't any power behind any of his shots, to me they almost look like little slaps. I think somebody with alot of power, the ability to take shots, and a good counterpuncher can beat joe. RJJ?
i think Winy is tailor made for Calzaghe
pitty patter flurry on Winkys gloves & left hook to the body & then get out and keep Turning him ,candy from a baby IMO
A question for yall , if we all agree that a younger super middleweight james toney would have beaten calzaghe then why are they saying calzaghe is the greatest SMW of all time (they said so in the HBO countdown show )
Well I didn't agree to that. We said it would be a good fight.
But generally the greatest fighter of a given division is the one who had the best career in that division. At SMW it's Roy Jones and Joe Calzaghe

Because styles make fights
Montell Griffin is not a better fighter than Jones JR & James Toney but thier were times in both fights where he outboxed the pair of them
Well when u see how Calzaghe struggled with rough/rugged fighters like Robin Ried & Bika i think a young Hopkins would have had a very good chance at beating him
i think a Prime James Toney would give Calzaghe fits aswell

Because Toney didn't stay at 168 for a long period.

Calzaghe has stayed there longer... I think that's a questionable determination though...
