Which old fights stick in your mind where a different guy would have won if it was called at 12 rounds. Leonard Hearns was stopped in the 14th but Hearns was ahead after 12, can you think of any others??
I know the premise isn't perfect as you could argue that the respective fighters would have paced themselves differently, but Leonard Hearns still sticks out
The thread is about how fights would have been different if they weren't fought for 15 rounds. If the fight was completed over(the course of) 12 rounds. Had the boom boom fight with Kim only been 12 rounds Kim likely wouldn't have suffered so many blows to the head.
The title thread is wrong then, thats what I was going by.
How would them going OVER 12 rounds, which they did. Would of prevented Kim's death? Explain please?

Mancini - Kim (would have prevented a death)
That was the fight that began the push for 12 rounders.

This is a really great idea for a thread if it hasn't been done before. Leonard hearns was the first that came to my mind. The Boom boom fight that ended poorly would be another one..
I was too lazy to check!!! sorry if its a repeat!!
Yeah Leonard/Hearns is the top pick, imo. On the flipside, Hopkins/Taylor I would likely have ended in a TKO if it were 15 rounds. Shit, actually there are hella fights that come to mind that could have been different if there were 15 rounds...
I nearly posted the thread with the question that way round!!!!lol

Ali Frazier 3 probably would have been a draw.
True, I suppose Sugar Ray Robinson would have beaten Maxim over 12 as well, I think he retired ahead on points in the 14th
