i felt johnson won a close UD, it's a shame that he never gets close decisions

I had it a draw, I would like to see it again though. I thought it was even for the first six rounds, then it started to turn into Dawson's fight but Johnson came right back in the late rounds of the fight. It seemed to me that Glen Johnson blocked many of Dawson's punches but could not really answer because of his old age and Dawson's speed/movement. Dawson's punches made a lot of noise but most of them were blocked. When Glen did land punches, he was much more effective with them than Dawson was. Johnson was never really hurt while Dawson was hurt several times in the fight. Johnson was also the aggressor, initiating the punching exchanges and that won him a few close rounds on my scorecard. So did Dawson's 'ring generalship' when he started to fight his fight by jabbing and moving even though he did not land much cleanly. A rematch would be great, the fight was entertaining but I doubt it will happen, a unification fight with Tarver is probably what Dawson and his management have next on his mind. Glen should be looking for a second fight with Roy Jones or the vacant WBA title.

poor Johnson. he has so many close fights, but the judges never seem to give him the decision...except the 2nd Antonio Tarver fight. ITs too bad too, he is by FAR the most exciting fighter in the Light Heavyweight division... I feel like protesting for him. that poor old guy is just so well conditioned and a veteran now, kickin the young people's ass. I think that Dawson did NOT deserve the decision, and Johnson's post fight interview was really sad and truthful +1. I agree with everything you said. I felt angry about that decision. More then double the ppl voted for Johnson, and almost everyone in the crowd felt like johnson was cheated last night. And the only reason dawson has any votes is because ppl from his nutt hugging home town voted for him in this poll don't give a shit about the kid. I thought he won. He outworked Glen for long spells. 6,7,8,9 was a clean sweep, when the Johnsons slow feet were shown up. From what I've seen Chad could be a very good fighters if he wasn't a complete moron.

How can people honestly say that Johnson won the fight? Every close fight is not a robbery and people are just surprised that Johnson did so well(because Dawson allowed him to). I had Dawson winning 115-113 and i am not biased at all. Johnson did not win. You just don't know how to judge a fight and if had Johnson winning. Dawson landed the harder the most punches throughout the fight. I also had it 115-113 to Dawson. The rounds were all clear apart from round 11. Which could have gone either way. Making it a draw.

i had it 115-113 DAWSON johnson had dawson hurt 2 times and couldnt put him down, other than that, dawson fought very well and deserved the victory johnson was game, but he didnt do enough
