Mayorga is a test for anyone at welterwieght and i think he shud stop fighting in highter wieght classes because he can be a beast at 147.

The build up would be hilarious. I'd actually like to see Cotto talk a lil shit in Spanish (though I seriously doubt it can top the amazing Vargas vs Mayorga Build Up interview...pure entertainment). But Cotto would outwork Mayorga and I think he'll just crumble from all the shots Cotto will be landing. KO in about 7-8 rounds.

I'll be the first to admit, this fight doesn't make much sense but it'll be entertaining as hell while it lasts. Obviously, Cotto would edge him on boxing skill, technique, etc. However.... LET'S NOT FORGET my boy Mayorga is one dangerous s.o.b. Either Cotto by UD or Mayorga by KO.

Who you think will win? i think this would be a very dangerous fight for cotto because of his chin and mayorga hits very hard at welter wieght and can take alot of punishment. If cotto can keep his cool and stay away from mayorgas power i think he can pull of a ud or maybe even a tko but i doubt he could ever ko mayorga. I think Mayorga's chin hasn't been the same since Tito. Also consider the amount of weight he will have to cut. Remember Mayorga felt he had to use diuretic Furosemide (a.k.a. Lasix) to help him make weight for DLH and that was at 154lbs. Both the Tito fight and struggling to make weight could most probably have a negative effect on his ability to take a punch.

yeah but think about it the fight was at 164 or something but he came in at no more than 168 and that could be without any drainage... many fighters drop more than 168-147 and have no problems. This could be dangerous for cotto he's a train smoker,cotto's fights go to distance,there is no way he finds the stamina to last 5 with cotto.
