FLOYD MAYWEATHER SR.: "YOU'LL SEE A MUCH BETTER FIGHT AT 147 THAN YOU SAW AT 154"
"He's weighing 151. They are fighting at 150 so he won't have no problem making 147. I'm here to tell you, get ready to see a new and improved Oscar De La Hoya. I think he'll do better against my son at 147," stated legendary trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. as he gave an update on Oscar De La Hoya's preparations for his May 3rd fight with Steve Forbes. Don't miss what else he had to say as he reveals that he may not be working with Zab Judah after all and shares his thoughts on Hopkins-Calzaghe, what happened between Steve Forbes and Roger Mayweather as well as his son's participation in Wrestlemania 24, stating, "From what I understand, he's supposed to do 2 or 3 more of them things that he did with them. My whole thing is he didn't get hurt so that was good. He could do what he feels like he wants to do. When the fight comes, we'll be ready." Check it out!

That is about the cleanest punch you can land and it was right on the jaw, not to mention there was extra leverage because he was bouncing off the ropes. With that said, Oscar was never in any trouble and i think that shows there is no way Floyd can hurt him. Knowing he cant be hurt has to benefit Oscar going into a rematch.
what I typed is the the simple truth.
Floyd sr. I want 2 millions to train Oscar.
Oscar: no way.
It might be that he did it in purpose, but that's just speculation.
That is 100% true. For the right price Floyd Sr. would have been Oscar's trainer last May. Somehow I think Oscar still would have shown a profit after paying the man.
Not true, it was an issue with his family, by walking away he lost probably about a million dollars. the first time he just said it wasnt worth it, and if Oscar really wanted him, to make it worth his while, essentially he priced himself out on purpose.

ehm Floyd sr. walked away from Oscar the 1st time around for... that's right, MONEY!

Good interview. Like he said, it isnt all about the money. At least one of the Mayweathers understands pride. And by the way, Floyd never hurt Oscar at all with anything. You fanboys try too hard.

i dont remember what round it was but at the very end dlh rocked mayweather with a right hand and made floyd stagger against the ropes. thats the only time it appeared that floyd was hurt. if it wasnt for the ropes i think floyd would have fell.
ya someone on here has a gif of that. Neither fighter was ever hurt, i think so much was at stake that both kind of played it safe, i would expect the second bout to be much more entertaining. Oscar is in a position where its probably his last fight, why not risk it all and go for broke...
look at round 12 of the fight when oscar stumbled back after floyd landed a right hand to his forehead. he wobbled him in round 12. oscar was also buckled in round 5 when floyd landed two perfectly timed right hands when oscar was throwing his punches in bunches when floyd was on the ropes. after that, not too long after in the same round, oscar was stunned when floyd landed a left hook followed by a right hand. oscar never hurt floyd in the fight, even when he landed his jabs on him. floyd has a hell of a chin, and so does oscar. with this said, i don't see how oscar can beat floyd, period.

How is his not that bad when my scorecard is the same, but with one round that he gave to Floyd a draw round?
Because a draw isn't to far of a stretch unlike a win for Oscar. That's really stretching. No it's just absurd.
Draw is to "What the hell?" as Oscar win is to "Get the fuck out of here"
:)
please, only one ever stop DLH was Hopkins. Mayorga, Trinidad, Millie are all bigger punchers than Floyd.
i was just about to say that. thank you for putting that out there
Says the person who scored it for Oscar :ugh:
And that guy's scorecard isn't too bad. I scored round 4 for Floyd insted of Oscar.

I think Floyd will win easier this time around. This rematch is stupid. It's just a way to get money, but hey, who can blame them? They're making a shit load.
Trinidad at his prime, when he fought Oscar, was more productive and accurate than Floyd. As a matter of fact, I'll give you all my points if Floyd TKO's or KO's Oscar. Vice Versa of course.
i agree with most of the shit your saying but no way is trinidad as accurate as floyd.. floyd is pinpoint as much as i hate to admit it..
ill be rooting for DLH just b/c i dont like floyd. but once floyd beats him he needs to RETIRE
