Just watched MK and JC, and woow what an awesome fight but one thing about JC....

Cubans do have a funny sounding accent, they talk very fast and they eat a lot of syllables, the more educated Cubans speak very well though. I'm assuming that Joel came from a very poor background as most Cuban or South/Central American boxers do and he just doesn't command a proper Spanish vocabulary. Also I'm sure all the punches in the head haven't helped him either, but yeah his Spanish is horrendous, I really can't stand to hear him speak, he is extremely illiterate. ahh thanks a lot for the explanation.. :P.... i had a friend on college that was cuban and he talked very well.... but im still amazed by casamayors spanish xD....cos i really need subtitles when he speaks..

No such thing as a british accent. Calzaghe's accent is Welsh. I'd allow you to use "english accent" though the difference between a brummie, a scouser and a cockney is quite distinct. And Joe doesn't have an English accent.

has he always talked like that??? my primary language is spanish, and i really didn´t understand anything he said, but almost nothing. and i was wondering if he always talks like that or if all the punches have finally made him punch drunk or something. also cubans talks very nice, so it really amazes me how bad he talks xD.... I thought you meant Joe Calzaghe and Mikkel Kessler. When you started talking about not understanding JC, I thought you were referring to Calzaghe's thick British accent. Haha...

Its funny because I always told him that he sounds like a Cuban Rocky Balboa. LOL
