Number wise, how many boxer (promoters too I guess) numbers do you have?
For back up in case my phone breaks down, I write them down in a little phone book. I have two books filled completely and a third one a quarter ways through.
PS: I used to prank call the shit out of Latrell Sprewell, tell him I was PJ and that I wanted to to choke me and shit...
funny stuff
a couple of my friends had Sprewell's number also.. They never got him to pick up though. Just the answering machine. I'm shocked he kept a number for any amount of time when bunch of people he didn't know were ringing him.
Good idea for a thread...I have friends who have called boxers..got their numbers from 411. Back in 1962 a guy I know here in CT named Rick Kaletsky looked up Clay in Louisville and actually talked to the young Cassius Clay. The guy ended up following Ali throughout his whole career and he even befriended him to a cetain degree. He wrote a book called "Ali and Me, Through the Ropes." Another kid I grew up with called, among others, Rockin Robin Blake at his home through 411 and talked to him for close to 30 minutes.
I'd call Vitali Klitschko and say: Your mind is no longer 100% in boxing. Call a press conference and say that you'll retire for good and put the emeritus title in the 'bin.
damn Gato is lucky!
Shane is that dude! probally one of the greatest lightweights ever.
Gato isn't lucky, he has to spar Mosley with 12 oz gloves. Punchers usually spar with 18 oz. When he told me the weight of the gloves, I told Gato, "Sucks to be you man."
I wanted to call Shane Mosley to tell him to jump on Cotto and be extremely aggressive from the opening bell. Didn't happen, didn't happen.. :banghead:
I was glad when Cotto won because I was sure Floyd would be willing to fight Miguel due to public demand. Of course, that didn't happen either.
Allan Green..
Id prank him say "Can I speak to your feet?" then hang up
Then Id call back and say "Hi Allen this is your feet, please stop staring at us!"
