what part off floyd is a fraud do you not understand?
seriously?i mean, nobody denies his skills nobody.yet these "fans"refuse to acknowledge the fact that he's a boxer fighting a wrestler.this shit is ridiculous this is the kinda shit ali and joe louis where relegated to make money when they where geezers, and they still defend when he's doing this at the peak of his skill.those who defend him aren't boxing fans, there floyd fans and floyd fans only.

Partially.
But if it was all Oscar's doing, then the same could be said true for every other person that fought Oscar.
Hopkins
Mosely
Vargas
etc.
None of those guys have nearly as much exposure as Floyd does. I admit Oscar opened the door, but Floyd is taking advantage of that opportunity, which cannot be said for any of the others.
i see floyd's fight vs oscar as oscar's fight vs whitaker it was oscar's highest ppv number till he fought trinidad.

more than partially. without oscar, there would no had been a "money may". oscar is STILL the sport's biggest draw.
Oscar made Floyd what he is today in terms of exposure and money.

Well, as a boxing fan for a little over a year and a half, I personally didn't know who Mayweather was until his with Oscar on May 5th, 2007. Since that fight with well known Oscar de la Hoya, his role in a highly watched TV reality series, and his last fight against another undefeated fighter, Floyd's presence has undeniably made his way into mainstream. And he will only garner more attention among wrestling fans at Wrestlemania. I heard he was the second highest paid athlete in the world at this moment. He is making A LOT, A LOT of money...

Is this an accurate source? I went to Sweet S.com, and i did not see any of this.

What the hell! Cotto needs to be an entrepreneur in order to get a fight? Mayweather said he wants to fight now for the fact that he loves the sport, not just because of the money. So why does he need to fight people who are entrepreneurs rather than dedicated boxers?
Like i've said numerous times....Floyd rides the coat-tails of popular fighters in order to profit off of thier drawing power/fanbase. Hatton sells out arena's nomatter who he's fighting. Oscar did just shy of 1mil ppv buys fighting Mayorga. Why do u think Floyd is so-called waiting for Cotto to become a major superstar before he is willing to fight him? So that he can profit off of Cotto's drawing power due to the fact that Floyd himself has none. Yes Floyd PARTICIPATED in 2 huge fights, but in reality, it was the drawing power of both his opponents that made those fights as big as they were.
Floyd a comedian who can box the shit out of anyone who steps in the ring with him..thats some comedian. And if you think Oscar didnt choose to fight Floyd to make a profit your buggin, Floyd had more to lose than gain from that fight.
yeah im afraid we're all.... erm buggin. whatevr that means.
Floyd doesn't need cotto at all. his legacy is cemented, only hardcore cotto fans and us hardcore boxing fans want this fight. the average boxing fan will happily watch floyd fight any "name" fighter.
I really hope the fight does happen, but i dpubt it will.

Interesting, I didn't realize Mayweather was open to a Hatton rematch..
If Cotto beats Gomez and gets a chance to taunt Floyd he needs to do that. He needs to take the mic out of Merchant's/Kellerman's hand and look right into the camera and tell Floyd he's "scared," he's "a coward".. Anything.
that's why he's fighting a wrestler right?you floyd hos are funny.you mufuckas swear ya part of his entourage.fucking bastard yes men.
Im pretty sure its just entertainment and hes not "fighting" anyone, and hes doing it because its 20million, youre telling me if any other boxer not named Oscar DelaHoya had that oppertunity they would pass on it??

no, the Floydians would have you believe that Oscar NEEDED Floyd to be what he is now and Floyd was ALREADY at the status he is now when they met. This of course ignoring the fact that De La Hoya/Mayorga did 950,000 K and Mayweather/Hatton did 800,000 K +.
i know..........fuckin amazin
