Jones is the -2800 favorite to win. Silva is a +1400 underdog.
I don't ever recall seeing odds that high before. :boxing:

But it would be boxing rules not MMA, so it really wouldnt mean much. The converse would be true also. Silva would smash Roy in an MMA fight.
Obviously^^
Buts thats how they would market the fight. If a guy is the P4P best fighter in his sport then they are going to use the marketing angle that he is such a dominate fighter in MMA that maybe he can even take on a former boxing champ. It would be the same marketing angle if they tried to market Mayweather fighting in the UFC. Its very easy fight to market....you have boxing fans talking about it and MMA fans talking about it. It sells itself.

ya no doubt... roy himself knows that
silva called out roy tho...
well silva is deemed UNBEATABLE in mma... he is the floyd mayweather of MMA...
so i would LOVE for roy to whoop his ass... so i can look at every mma fan and say... a 39 yr old boxer whooped ur best guy

if Roy does this, its ovbious he's doing it for the money and attention. If he wants to treat it as a legit bout, i think he should set a condition where Silva has to fight a professional bout against a decent middleweight and WIN it in convincing fashion to ear a shot at Roy.
lol...thats not how it works with these type of matches.
Its like saying Floyd Mayweather wants to fight the UFC LW champ(BJ Penn) in MMA. You going to say to Mayweather..."oh btw...we have doubts if this is a legit bout so we need you to fight a decent LW fighter first then BJ Penn"
No it doesn't work that way. Its going to be a single big match...no working your way up the ladder deal.
lol yeah I was just playin.
LOL alright... u know theres some serious roy haters around here.. that would say that and believe it...
i was just like... gomez? KOing roy? like.............. LOL
lets be realistic guys, who is gonna allow a guy with a 1-1 professional boxing record to fight an all time great boxer... just stupid. never gonna happen
Odds may change as we get closer to the "fight" if it happens of course.
Let's say Silva wins..
and people bet 100 Mil on him... this of what the payback will be.
As there is no one will be betting on RJJ as profit on -2800 is not worth any risk. There will be no money to pay those who favored Silva in case of an upset.
