Am I the only guy here that thinks Cotto isnt getting past Margarito?!

I still think that fight was one of the most exciting, memorable fights in the past few years. For me, the build up was pretty extreme. It was truly a pick 'em fight and the drama that unfolded in the ring I'll never forget. It's true... it's one of my absolute favorite fights. It's one of two fights on my ipod touch. Cotto-Margarito Jones-Lacy :lol1:

Hahaha..i just voted, then realized how old this thread is...lol. But if they fight again, i got my man backed up and willing to bet big on him. I think Steward has been doing a good job with him, and who knows how much more Cotto will improve? Besides, Margo ain't the same fighter he used to be.

Top Rank doesn't think Cotto can beat Margarito, do they? If, or when, Margarito took down Cotto it would boost Tony's market value considerably. Meanwhile Miguel Cotto would retain his fanbase almost entirely - even in defeat. Top Rank wouldn't put Miguel against a big, extremely durable, heavy hitter like Margarito unless he was one of theirs, and it was a very wise business move. They stand to benefit more if Cotto loses to Margarito, and they would surely be counting on it. It doesn't matter if Cotto's fans or the optimists think Cotto can go on forever without getting knocked out. His promotional company has been taking calculated risks and making matchups that clearly indicate they're well aware of the potential danger.. Well aware. This is a no brainer. :drive: We can all talk about this after it happens.. If, both guys can get that far.. Great post. I think you hit it right on the head....

Didn't Margo say he was gonna take all three belts fromt he p ricans???? 1 down 2 to go!!!!!! Predict a clean sweep!!!!!!!! Quintana is toast and a forgone conclusion if he defeats Cotto. Cotto is in for a gut check as well as a chin check and I'm thinking that he won't pass in the chin department at least.
