Isn't gavin rees a bit under-rated?

He needs a few more fight for me to give an opinion of him the M'baye W was impressive but just look at the shit he fought before that, hopefully I'll be proved wrong tho.

Seems nobody is giving the little guy a chance in the future except me. Why do I think he will? 1) He is being trained in the calzaghe camp. As cheesy as it sounds, probably one of the best, if not the best training camp in britan. 2) He has very good defense, he uses his height disadvantage to his advantage making him very hard to hit. He moves forwards and backwards to the opponent with great speed. 3) His work-rate. Although he hasn't got much power, he hits a lot of punches, especially on the body making his opponent tire. Seriously for a chubby little guy he is suprisingly fit and fast. I honestly think he is a class b version of ricky hatton, just no power. Hes not going to want to give away his belt just now, even if hes only just in it for the money, theres certainly more money available in the future if he wins his next few title defenses. Even ricky hatton has his eye on him. He's shit, no he isnt underated. but Enzo has made the most out of what little Rees has.

he's alright i guess, i've only seen some tape on him, nothing live, but looking at his record he looks most certainly untested......................and maybe overrated.

Props to Rees for winning, but more shame on M'baye for underrating him. Ye Rees did well in that fight, but M'baye was Terrible

I think this Saturday will give us a good indication to whether your right or wrong. Dont get me wrong im not saying Rees is a bum or anything i just think all the fighters i said would be too much for him. But i hope he wins on saturday and i will be watching.

I think Rees might lose to Kotelnik. Kotelnik gave Witter a good solid fight and lost a close decision. Should be a good fight no matter what.

If Amir and Gavin fought I'd put money on Amir. In fairness he's fought better competition too. M'Baye was dealt with and he is the best name on either resume. But man, he was appalling completely disinterested and he had no inside game whatsoever. Saturday tells us about how good he is. If he wins, it also elevates Rees' resume above Khans. Kotelnik is fringe world class.

don't get me wrong i think rees is a decent little fighter although ive only seen his title fight so im not really qualified to judge him. i just think he wont quite cut it at the top level and may be best off campaigning at lightweight. I think Amir has a lot more potential than Rees, don't get me wrong... I just see Rees being too much for Amir for this point in their careers. Although Rees isn't a great Champion at World level, he is a Champion... I think Amir needs a few more months before he should step up.
