If Haye comes to bang with that left low to dig body shots, he would get ktfo in early to mid rounds. If he fights smart, like he's capable of doing, and uses his superior boxing technique he could outpoint. There's always a chance that Peter connects with that one good shot no matter how much Haye uses his feet. Haye's beard, as we all know, is still up for debate.
Hard to say, Haye is quicker & has good power. Peter has good power and a pretty good chin but stands there or plods forward no real footwork. The way to beat Peter is to bring the uppercuts and just go after him with combinations so if Haye can do that hed win but if he gets caught with a clubbing Peter shot hes in trouble.
Plus Jesus is on Peters side :lol1:
you mean " the lawd"
Who would win this matchup? I'll take Peter.

lol i know, he was crap. he was used as a fight to fill the gao between the origonal fight date for Mormeck and when it was set back to. it wasn;t a good idea really gaining all that muscle then dropping it straight afterwards, weakened him alot.
Yeah, muscle is the hardest mass to lose, he was very smart to go right back into training after the Mormeck fight for Maccarinelli.
Haye's speed would be a big advantage for him. Bonin is not a very good indicator of how he'd do at heavyweight though, he was used as a tuneup for the Mormeck fight, we'll see if his speed and power actually carries up with him when he matches up with a top contender.

Yeah i can understand your point, and i would say a UD for Haye would be the likely outcome of this fight in my opinion. But i honestly would not be suprised to see a late stoppage for Haye through accumulation of hard punches. But the speed would really give Haye a goo dadvantage over peter.
if anyone hasn't seen Hayes only HW fight so far heres the link:

Admittedly his oppenent, Tomasz Bonin was not really that good. he had a resord of 38-1 or something like that with his only loss coming against Fraudley Harrison in a fight he was (apperntly i never watched the Fraud that much) before being stopped on a cut. But this gives you an idea of his speed etc at HW.

Haye's uppercut is brutal but he can't throw from a distance, he'd get caught by one of Peter's hooks, and he doesn't want to get inside with Peter, his jab will be his best punch, mix in some straight rights and 1-2's but I don't see a KO happening for Haye.

I didn;t see that cause i'm in UK and didn't have Sopcast lol. I just think that if he takes to many of Hayes right hands then he could get KO'd. Thats just something i could see, he has a lot of power and Peter was down three times against McClain(sp?), so i could see Haye knocking him out. But, if its uppercuts that get him Haye has a pretty mean Right uppercut as well, just ask Mormeck.
mccline was 270 lbs. he was never known as a puncher but it was the first time peter ever fought anyone bigger than him. I think that had some effect. we still dont know if haye's power is going to be even half as effective when punching bigger sturdy heavyweights. I think he's going to have trouble hurting the top heavyweights. micheal moorer's power was devastasting at light heavyweight 26-0 26 ko's,, but he had trouble knocking out heavyweights and he was a huge light heavyweight. he drained himself even more than haye to make weight

It's like the HBO crew said during the Peter-Maskaev fight, Peter can take right hands and not get hurt, it's the hooks and uppercuts that get to him.

I think if Haye moved and boxed, using his jab a lot he could win. But even if he stuck and moved he could get a KO, i honestly do. His right hand could inflict a lot of damage cause i think Hayes speed would mean he could land a lot. When Wlad fought him he was too cautious, Haye could get a KO but i will go with a decision to be fair to Peter.

I reckon Haye could get a late TKO. Peter is too slow and Haye's big right hand will make him shy.
haye wouldnt be able to kayo peter. he could possibly win a decision but I think peter's physical strength would eventually overhwelm haye
Haye could stop Peter depending on how good Peter's chin is it has proved to be pretty granite.
Haye is another level of fighter than Peter.
Peter is not the best, he really isn't. Haye would light him up, he's too slow for Haye. Haye could even get away with keeping his left low the speed disparity is so great.
Peter telegraphs everything but he's no George Foreman so he won't get away with it in world class company.
A frightened Wlad whooped him, Maskaev hurt him and he was shot to piece, nearly man McCline should have stopped him, and James Toney is pretty much done with boxing I give him a tiny bit of credit.
I'm not even sure Peter beats he other British heavies, seriously.
Haye winning a safety first performance to outbox Peter for 12 ,quite a dull fight with Haye not taking to many chances
Yup, all you need to do is box, and use good movement and you beat peter. haye is much to quick for peter. barring peter landing a big shot i don't see him winning.
