Andy Lee this Friday Night on ESPN

I'm looking forward to this one - Lee should win by KO. I wonder what the comments from Teddy Atlas will be. Will he be negative and demeaning toward Lee, like he always is toward white boxers? Some people think Atlas is Irish, but he's not. I read in his book that Atlas' father was a Hungarian-Jew and his mother was Irish, so he's half Irish for what it's worth. About being anti Klitschko and anti pale skin I noticed that a while back. I'm not offended by it at all. Every time he does it I just laugh, like picking Byrd,Brock and Ibragimov over Wlad:ugh: He does care about the sport and raises hell whenever a commission effs up a scorecard which always makes for good tv. With that being said I'd rather have Ice man Scully take his place on FNF and WNF.

I agree. Lee should been able to get rid of Vera in the middle rounds. I've been looking forward to this ESPN Friday Night Fights for a long time. I hope it doesn't disappoint. It is one of their better shows of the year. I think Aaron Pryor's son is on the card as well.

Lee is typically a fighter who takes a close look at their opponent in the opening rounds and then breaks them down with accurate power shots. I can't see him having many problems with Vera and getting him out of there mid fight.

Actually, that's not true. But I agree with what Arum said about "demeaning white fighters" because people think they are no good. When I was about 12, I wanted to take up boxing but my white physical education instructor discouraged me, saying I might defeat the other white guys, but I'd never be able to defeat the black boxers. But I realize looking back on it now, he was an idiot like Teddy Atlas. Atlas has made many negative comments about the Klitschkos, Pavlik and others. In close fights he always scores it against the white guy. So Teddy Atlas is a wanna-be black guy? What's the logic?

Vera's not a pushover, but it would be extremely disappointing if Lee lost this one. I have to think his last performance was just a bad night. He looked a little rough around the edges. Hopefully, he comes out strong on Friday. Boxing could use another big time Irish fighter now that Duddy was semi-exposed. Yes Duddy was semi exposed, but won a lot of new fans also, including myself. He showed incredible heart and class in that fight. His main objective is to make the fans happy. I wish him all the luck in the world.

Isn't Vera that joke fighter who couldn't even last was it 1 round or 2 rounds on that shitty contender series with the likes of codrington. I wasn't expecting vera to beat codrington, but I wasn't expecting him to puss out and get ko'd the way he did.
