"And he's not running away either, if you want to be respected as a man, you gotta fight like a man" - Emanuel Steward on JMM
I busted out laughing when he said that. I can only think of a specific fighter he had in mind when he said it. Dude needs to stop letting his emotions get the best of him when commentating.
I'm not too sure if he only meant Mayweather when he said that. I'm sure he also had Klitschko vs Ibragimov on his mind (they talked about it earlier).
Steward has general dislike for every boxer that 'runs' (doesn't try to be exciting/go for the KO). He wants his fighters to be exciting to the fans and 'finish the job'.
So what you're saying is;
Steward said something about running and not fighting like a man, which you immediately associated with Floyd Mayweather.
seeing that he has disrespected Mayweather plenty of times on HBO, yeah, its pretty safe to assume that.
you know damn well who he was talking about. he's said it many times before too, but not in such a harsh manner.
Oh he was talking about Floyd. I actually thought he was talking about Sultan. Guess I was pretty ignorant on that one.

on a side note.. Jim Lampley said some of the most racist shit last night..
Something about the reason it's so split is because all the Mexicans bet on Marquez and all the Filipinos on Pacquiao and that is why it so even or something like that I was like :?!: :lol1:!!
Who Sultan? He had to know he wasn't going to get a KO in that bout.
