Hmmm...it would be difficult to categorize...but heres how i see it :
Against PAC
1.) Marquez - Pac didnt have a clear victory against JMM in their 2 matches
2.) Morales - He won 1 fight but was utterly demolished in 2 other PAC fyts
3.) Barrera - Massacred...broken...destroyed by PAC...u get my point
Against Others
1.) Morales - 3 division champ. Never had another legit KD aside from the ones from Pac. Some people may argue MAB has better competition but EM doesnt fight a Mzonke Fana on championship PPV.
2.) Barrera - 3 division champ. Only person to beat Hamed.
3.) Marquez - 2 division champ but aside from MAB and PAC, JMMs resume has been littered with tomato cans.
Against Each Other
1.) Marquez - Beat Barrera.Didnt fight Morales but EMs style would arguably fall into JMMs counterpunching.
2.) Barrera - Lost to Marquez and beat Morales 2 of 3.
3.) Morales - Since he never fought JMM, we can only speculate how their matchup would look like but I would favor Juan in that fight.
Overall :
1.) Morales - based on quality of competition and victory against PAC(which JMM and MAB never accomplished)
2.) Barrera - Yes, he beat EM 2 of 3 but that could have easily been in Eriks favor. Plus we cant discount he lost badly to Junior Jones too.
3.) Marquez - EM and MAB are 3 division champs, JMM only 2. The 2 above him fought better overall competition in their careers.
How about you guys...Your thoughts? ;P
depends if you're talking about in their primes or not. Marquez was avoided in his prime and toward the end of his career he beat Pac and an old Barrera. It will never be known...thats what happens when boxers dont fight each other in their primes.
Against Pac, Marquez should be first. He had his number despite a "0-1-1" record.
Overall, Morales is the best of the three. It's just unfortunate that despite the fact that he was the youngest of them, he's the one who aged the fastest.
