I've seen a few threads stating what if Manny wins. How about Marquez, he is 3rd in the lb4lb rankings and with some talk of Pacquiao rivaling Floyd. Where would you put Juan Manuel Marquez? I wuold have him as number two for now. Mayweather has the number one spot in my mind until he completely avoids Cotto, but an impressive win by Pacquiao or Marquez makes for a great argument. The again, lb4lb is a bit overrated.
Why Mayweather behind Cotto?
only because maywether for the last few years has only taken fights he's been all but guaranteed to win:
judah, baldomir, ODH and hatton. cotto's wins over quintana and shane seem more significant to me. especially in light of quintana's recent ass drubbing of pw...
calzaghe is pound for pound the best if he fights pavlik and beats him.
Calzaghes big wins:
Kessler, bika*underrated, has hard power and he really only has 2 losses on his record because he was robbed and he beat soliman*, Lacy, Veit, prime byron mitchell= tough sob and he was robbed against ottke., prime sheika, prime reid , eubank. Despite the haters calzaghes resume is pretty decent and he has taken on the best in the super middle weight division.
2. This isn't even a hard question IMO. Marquez hasn't compiled a huge list of big names, so Floyd wouldn't be in danger of being passed. He beats #2 when he is #3... pretty simple to put him at #2 IMO.
i'd have calzaghe at number 1 and JMM at number 2, cotto number 3 and mayweather number 4

I wish that Mayweather was still a 130lbs fighter, I'd love to see Mayweather/Marquez.
You talk about a boxing match, holy hell........
Anyway, I'd rate Marquez at #2, Pac at #3 and Mayweather still #1.
Yea I'd go with thatI still think Mayweather keeps it even if a stoppage based on his impressive victory over Hatton. however, like I said, if Mayweather doesn't fight Cotto, then the winner of tonights fight stoppage or not, is the man
