I'm calling 5 rounds, partly out of wishful thinking (I prefer to get at least ¼ hour's worth of action out of a fight, pretty KO or no), partly because I want to give Enzo some credit that he could be able to dig in and protect himself from the brunt of Haye's early fusillades.
Looks like I wanted to give Enzo too much credit. Suspected as much.
All my worries for Haye re. this fight were obliterated by Friday's allaying of the weight making issue. Figured the Johanneson-Mitchell scrap was gonna be the real treat of the night, with the expected fireworks in the main event as the cherry on top.
A lot of people are gonna look like idiots tonight :)
Maccarinelli was unequivocally blown away. Those who said Enzo simply wasn't on the same level as a HAYEMAKER were proven 100% justified.
Maybe next time you could just join in the essentially good-natured spirit of boxing discourse without...
making humorless boasts about the Welsh being more successful than the rest of the UK
OR
branding other posters nuthuggers and dick-riders for just picking a winner, when it's patently obvious your own call for this fight was hugely influenced by national bias and your own pathological 'dick-riding' of Welsh fighters (< ironic apostrophes should soften any offence caused by the overused-to-the-point-of-meaninglessness vernacular)
Ah well, you've always got the next month to heap scorn on anyone who doesn't think Joe will make easy work of Hopkins and then revel in your own unmerited yet incredibly smug sense of 'vindication' when Cal wins a close fight by decision in all likelihood (< look, more ironic apostrophes!).
I hope to god Haye smashes him up but England were humiliatated today, Wales won, football didn't go well and I fear this could be the final nail in the coffin.
But I'd bet with my heart and go with Haye, who knows how or when.
Haye is my pick, but I'm going out on a limb and saying Haye by decision. Don't ask me why, but I also think both guys will go down.
And Barnsley beat Chelsea so the day of football wasn't a total wash.
EDIT also the scum lost.
Did you like Anelka at City?
Today he was a disgrace, I thought he had turned over a new leaf, but damn is that guy a mercenary???
I bet John Terry wanted to cave his head in. Proper gutted. No wonder Mourinho never wanted him, jesus.
The Zab Judah of footballers.

Haye stops him in 5.
Haye is world class. Macca seems a lovely chap and is pretty damn good himself but Haye is a different class of fighter.
Rewatching the Mormeck fight made me more confident in Haye, I don't think Weight will be a massive issue in this fight.
If Macca wins then he deserves all the plaudits.
And it's the day of the shock Fucking Barnsley beat chelsea!!
havent seen nearly enough of either fighter to make a prediction on this one.
dido...but everyones got haye so i guess haye ..i want enzo 2 win but it dont look like its gonna happen ..sounds like its gonna be a good fight thats all i care about
this isn't going the distance. i'm pulling for haye, but i'm getting a bad feeling he thinks he's stepping up for a mr miami beach contest rather than a world title fight...really hope he isn't going to underestimate maccarinelli and get embarrasingly knocked out.
Sage point. Both fighters have talked about being underestimated by the other in the build up. But looking at it, Haye's claim of being underestimated is rooted in his belief that the Maccarinelli camp only wanted the fight after being convinced that Haye would be spent at cruiser -- that in its own way could be taken less as a measure of disrespect and more as a sign of how seriously Warren/Calzaghe/Macca take Haye. Haye, meanwhile, has more or less said that ⅔ of The Hayemaker who fought Mormeck is enough to beat Maccarinelli, which really is teetering on the brink of underestimating Enzo. Maccarinelli's is a somewhat quieter confidence.
If one of the two is in danger of underestimating the other, it's Haye I think. That's one factor that could tell in Big Mac's favor.

and robjrr, you're right there. A lot of the people on this site will think "oooh! a black man, I'm going for him!" and mindlessly go with Haye.
Big Truck was shot to hell by the time he fought Maccaraneli.
He was toyed with and beat up by a blown up Welterweight in Guillermo Jones for Christ sakes. And he's the stiffest test Macca has ever faced hands down.

I just pettily bookmarked this thread.

Surely more like, "oooh! a ripped black man, I'm going for him!"
