I love mayweather's style and personality BUT...

But be fair, if Floyd had fought Cotto before he beat Mosley, there would have been cries of ducking Ricky Hatton, because he called him out, and he has the "perfect style" to beat Mayweather. And seriously there arent many fighters that go up from 130 pounds naturally, to beat a gold medalist with a very good resume with experience, at 154.. then go on, to face another very hungry undefeated pressure fighter that specializes in body punching... and beat that guy at his own game. Floyd has already paid his dues. He's not a young cat coming up age 24, so stop acting like he's a contender or something. He made 5 categories in 8 years, unnaturaly, meaning he was just heavier and not stronger in some of those fights. If Foyd decides to retire not fighting Cotto noone can blame him, that's the truth. WW is not the natural weight for pbf and if you keep fighting every star out noone would ever retire. Williams, Berto, Cotto are all still young fighters soon to be joined by many more (from both weight directions) and all of them are bigger than Floyd. You are always whining that welterweight isn't a natural size for Floyd. So tell me, who made him fight there? Was he banned from fighting at 135 or 140? No, he is there because he wants to be. The truth is that he is now a well adjusted and reasonably strong welterweight. He is by no means the smallest welterweight champion ever, Whitaker, Napoles, and Armstrong were all time greats who were even smaller than Mayweather. So please stop with all these "poor Floyd" posts. He is fighting in the division he chose for himself and is doing quite well. Don't ask for sympathy for him when fans insist he fight the other top welterweights. That's what being a world champion is all about.
